What video game are you currently playing?

Yes, my question was if you meant the whole MM franchise was dead, which would have been way surprising. They really should resurrect ZX though; the last one was an entertaining game.
The special ability of the normal fault was overpowered, as was the… flying form (?), but considering every other MM game tends to be punishing, that’s ok with me. That final boss was a piece of work though.

In other news, my Dovakiin is getting bored, reunited Skyrim and is looking to complete the main quest.

Wait until you hit 20 and you get access to the Tier 3 Runes. Then when you hit 30 and get your third quint slot, the fun BEGINS.

You should look into tanky/buiky AP Bruisers, like NuNu or Cho. Not as nuke-ish, but fun and useful in their own right.

Inafune is gone from Capcom. That, by itself, means that any new MManything title should be met with at best extremely cautious optimism. Besides X8, all sans-Inafune MM games have been “moderately turdly” at best, if not full blown crap like X7.

If I recall correctly the only Megaman related activity they’ve done since Inafune’s departure to the Hyper Dimension Neptunia thus far have been that godawful iOS port of MMX and this monstrosity. It’s just easier to totally ignore the franchise since Capcom has always sought to either milk it or run it into the ground (literally since game 1 as MM2 only got made as a side project and MM3 was Inafune’s attempt at expanding the series beyond it’s 8 bosses/final lab format which got executive meddled back into the form we know today; the only difference between then and now is the lack of Inafune’s struggles to keep Capcom at bay).

Isn’t that pretty much Capcom’s modus operandi though?

I finished the main questline of Skyrim and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Nice setting for a final fight, but the ‘ending’ is underwhelming to an 8-bit degree and people who should know better don’t even acknowledge you killed the End of the World. A model that didn’t look to similar to every other dragon in the game would have been nice.

Well, I mean, everyone in the Blades is kind of a shithead, Parthenax appreciates it/you, and nobody else really would know exactly how important what you did is.

Well, call me crazy, but if I’d had a dragon imprisoned in my castle, I would be curious about what happened with that. Your thuum is strong, young padawan (errrr).

Finally sorted through my Suki II issues and have now caught up my new file with my old one (and then some a bit as I missed a side quest in the old one). Just did the first Greenhill visit in both and recruited Theressa and friends.

Going 220+ SANICS, then shazbotting over running into an invisible Infiltrator on the flag with Super Heavy in Tribes: Ascend.

Ok, I’ve put all my other gaming aside for the time to play Final Fantasy IV DS, since HC Bailey (my favorite Lplayer) is currently doing an Lets Play of the game. Well he’s playing the PSP version, but WTH, its the same story! (And note I already played the Playstation version, but this game is so good, I want to replay it! ) My only problem is that my emulator (No$Zoomer) tends to slow down a bit, which doesn’t affect play much but screws up the sound, too bad because this version actually has spoken dialogue! Anybody knows how can I correct this?

Kid enters the thread. Games everywhere, but nothing his keyboard can’t handle.

I’m playing Bastion.

So apparently I was less screwed in my original file than I thought because I now have both Humphrey and Futch in both of my Suki II files (along with Kiba and his son). Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of the other time limits for Clive’s sidequest so I ended up missing the first one by an hour in my original file. Now I’m off to the Toran Republic and get this divergence started (still haven’t decided whether I want efficiency with Kasumi or Anita’s partner with Valeria in my speed run file).

I’ve gotten Zigg as well. I’m going to amass my army of yordles, then look elsewhere. I’m eyeing Swain as he can be kinda tanky. I am waiting until 30 to get any runes so I have all the slots.

Went and got some help over at the Toran Republic (well more like the BoraM Republic thanks to that data conversion bug) got a ninja for my troubles (also a Blinking Mirror :victoly:). Everywhere I read, people bitch about recruiting the Trading Post’s owner despite the fact that you can easily make the money by selling one or two Ancient Texts gotten from the Kolbold’s Village Trading Post. Now I just need to do it again for the more awesome chick in my speedrun file.

Also, due to Atlus finally relenting and bringing over Growlanser IV (along with Gungnir) I’ve decided to give Grows II & III a play through to see what the big deal was. Started with II and already I tangled with a crazy chick and her minions over some treasure chests. I can already tell I’m ahead of the curve since I was easily able to allow the minions to swipe the chests and then off them for both their booty and the looted booty. Also this game’s voice acting dances between mediocre to awful.

I’ve started having a lot of fun playing TF2 ever since I learned it had gone free. The initial learning-curve/not fun period was nicely masked by the goofy humor, and now that I know what I’m doing it’s a lot more fun than most FPS games. It feels laid back for some reason, maybe just because of the style, maybe because of the people who play, I don’t know.

Replaying ME1 and 2. Preordered ME3 a while back before I knew it would be on fucking Origin and would contain multiplayer. Bah.

Just put FF7 and FF9 on my PSP, pretty stoked. Also replaying Chrono Trigger on my DS and going through Pokemon Black. Most of my gaming these days is nostalgia based, and it comes in spurts, kinda like your mom.

DEARDROPS came out yesterday.
Been playing it when I’m not fiddling with my tyranid models. (I really have to get that army finished. Also, the Tyrant is fucking HUGE.)

Dragon Warrior VII
Bout to finish it, just have to grind some more to defeat the last boss and then move onto the bonus dungeons.

Well, I did a playthrough of FF2 GBA not too long ago. The gimmick of this run was minimal armor (the only armor they had were Thief’s Gauntlets for speed/evasion boosting). Hilariously, it worked pretty well up until the Cyclone, where I found that enemies with over 120 Atk start to wreck your shit. While I probably could’ve kept going (put one person in the front, use Blink), I figured it would’ve gotten annoying having to do Blink every other fight. Beat in around 13 hrs. (Should’ve been 12.)

Right now, I’m just starting up Devil Survivor 2. Quite an interesting game so far. The 1st boss fight wasn’t hard, but kinda funny in how it gets taken down. I’ve heard the other bosses are pretty crazy, so I’m looking forward to that. Gives off a real Evangelion vibe with the enemy design, but that’s not surprising since the guy doing the enemy design apparently did one of the Angels for Evangelion.

Also reading some interesting LPs on Infinite Space and Dangan Ronpa. The latter game in particular would’ve been totally awesome if it managed to be localized. Sadly, it won’t for a lot of reasons (complex hacking/reprogramming, lots of JP-related stuff, etc.) Basically, it’s like “Phoenix Wright meets Battle Royale starring a masochistic teddy bear with Doraemon’s voice.” Definitely worth looking up. Also has some good music as well.
