What video game are you currently playing?

Been playing Katawa Shoujo (bring on the knee-jerk reactions) since it was released recently, along with some Terraria since we recently unlocked Hard Mode on the server I had first created for the sake of farming some plants.

My friend and I currently obsessed with League of Legends a free RTS MMORPG. It’s kinda like Starcraft where you only control a hero (Chamption) and your army of minions is on autopilot. Check it out.

Beat Demon’s Crest yesterday, or rather got the remaining endings yesterday. Game feels like a proto Megaman ZX but with a Ghost and Goblins motif.

Well my current -and hopefully FINAL- try at Pokemom Platinum is going well. Just beat the Fighting Gym. Up next: Team Galactic!
Currently approx. forty hours into the game. Current party: Porygon, Kadabra, Marrill ,Scyther ,Staravia, Noctowl.

Well, I went ahead and finally beat Xenoblade. Took around 115 hours. (I did something like 90% of all availible quests…since there’s like close to 480 quests, according to a rather detailed Google Docs spreadsheet on the game.) Awesome game, and even had a few plot twists at the end that I’m sure nobody saw coming. Final Boss ended up being kinda of a joke though since I was pretty overpowered (was about 89-90; last boss is supposedly 81, though you can’t see this).

Now I’m just kinda in limbo as far as games go. Finally got my DS’s battery replaced, so I can continue playing PW:T&T. Read a neat article on Dark Cloud 2 in Retro Gamer, and was tempted to try that out, but it’s like $25 at Gamestop for some reason (I didn’t think it was that hard to find). So I dunno…

Yeah, I heard about Katawa Shoujo. I’ve got it downloaded, but haven’t messed with it yet. Played a zany Flash game based off it the other day, and it’s like the craziest thing ever.

I may or may not have seen that flash game, but the real game is definitely worth playing.

Well I finally played enough League of Legends to unlock my favorite Champion, Brand for good. Yay, is it hot in here? Oh, sorry it’s just Brand frying up some minions with his Pillar of Fire.

Demon’s Crest is swift and sweet  That powerup/metroid-with-stages idea was well implemented and a step forward compared to the GB/NES games. Shame that Capcom killed the franchise.

I just picked up Wild ARMS 1 and 2, and Vanguard Bandits. All three seem decent enough so far, if a bit dated :stuck_out_tongue: WA1 reminds me of like Tales of Phantasia or Lufia 2, (both very good games so, woo~) while the second one is a lot more like WA3, only like super lo-fi :V

Vanguard Bandits, idk I’d never seen it before, only heard it was really good. It hasn’t aged as well as the other 2 games I think, but still seems decent. I hafta wonder though why these people have the technology to build mechs to fight with, and yet still use swords and lances, and are otherwise medieval in every other way.

I just beat Wild Arms 4. Short and it was ok. Liked the battle system. I will take a break and find another rpg to play later. I have tons of them.

Fortunately they did allow the MMZX games inherit Demon Crest’s general gameplay style…

Unfortunately they also killed the MM franchise as well.

That said, I’m taking a break from Lufia DS to revisit both Suikoden II and Skyward Sword (Hero Modo).

Working on buying Vieger as well. He’s a little guy that looks like a purple black mage and has a powerful AoE meteor spell…right up my alley. Anyway, if any of you are into RTS stragegy games, I would definitely recommend Leage of Legends. Google it and take a look for yourselves. It’s free to play and the “cash shop” option doens’t really give any advantage because you can buy people and powerups with points earned by playing.

Add me, BahamutXero and I can teach you the ropes, but if you are familiar with combat in RTS kinda like Starcraft it’s easy enough to figure out.

Or, if you’ve played DotA, then you already know everything there is to know about LoL, as it (along with Heroes of Newearth) is one of the two most popular stand-alone DotA clones.

Me, I’m currently playing Dungeon Defenders with a friend. It’s kind of a tower defense-ish game, but you also have a character (3rd person, over the shoulder camera) capable of actively participating in combat so you have to both manage your towers and run around killing things yourself.
Also, the mage class totally looks like Vivi in a slightly different hat.

Ah, yest I came upon LoL at a friend’s suggestion. I never heard of DoTA until I searched wikipedia for it.

Hold on, do you mean the whole MM or MMZX? MMZX was kind of annoying (slow+unnecessary backtracking), but Advance was the first MM game I genuinely enjoyed in ages (and the first one I finished since MM or MM2).

Bahamut:

Add me, man; I’ve been raving about the game for a while.

Trying to get the swing of jungle characters, otherwise playing Tankraka, Lanewick, and the occasional Sivir.

Obviously I’m not referring to the entire MM franchise since different series tend to function in different ways but I am referring to both MMZX games, although yeah, the first game wasn’t the most well laid out nor did it tell you where you were very well either (what do you mean I’m in the forest area? Which part of the forest area?). They both give you additional forms based on the bosses you fought much like Demon’s Crest does (although MMZX Advent gave you most of the actual boss forms which were mostly neat though there were a few clunkers), and you can even see the parallels between stuff like the Air Gargoyle of Demon’s Crest and Model Hx of MMZX (although the default form of the first MMZX game was hilariously overpowered given that it was based on MMZ’s Zero and didn’t use weapon energy and thus couldn’t be gimped by a bad boss battle or rely on limited and difficult to come by weapon energy). Functionally they both gave you open stages to explore to collect health upgrades and such though Demon’s Crest were more like proper stages with multiple routes rather than the clumsy metroidvania style the ZX games used.

Unless the question you were asking was if I meant that the ZX series is dead or the entire franchise in which my only reply is this (if you don’t get the joke think back to the discussion at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark and the scene that follows).

Added both. I’ve only been playing for a couple weeks and I’m level 11, waiting for 12 so I can use Flash. I mainly use AP mages, I’ve bought Brand and Zeiger though I have a soft spot for the yordles so Heimerdinger is next. I’m excited because Riot had announced the next new Champion will be a yordle who specializes in explosives. I like whoever makes the biggest “boom”.

Run! Run or you’ll be well done! :mwahaha:

Well, I haven’t finished Pokemon Platinum yet but I just got bored and decided to also play another game to keep me entertained. And I chose Super Mario RPG- Legend of the Seven Stars- THE very first RPG video game I ever played! I can’t believe how well it still holds even today both in graphics, play AND story! (Don’t worry I also will finish PP, I swear.) Oh I also got a Yugioh GBA game (World Championship 2006) though I haven’t started it yet.
