What do you think are the most surreal games?

Oh! Oh! Mischief Makers! Hell yes!

I totally forgot about that game. With the clanballs and shaking and crazy robot grabbing action. I remember one boss where you grabbed the missiles he shot at you and threw them back at him.

I agree, they do. Dancing pink elephants…o_O

Intelligence Qube. I don’t know if it’s the incredible classical music or the constant sound of row after row of blocks coming straight at 'ya to crush you, but it’s put me into a dreamlike state once or twice.

Dancing pink elephants? Man you’d need some high power blotter for that… :stuck_out_tongue:

System Shock 2 without a doubt… well, its just plain scary, your first time through the Engineering deck will scare you lots… :stuck_out_tongue:

Mischief Makers was fantastic, The game jumped all over the place like a frog on speed.

Might and Magic series was good for surreal to, at the end yiou get that real hero of the world feeling :stuck_out_tongue:

I never had that problem.

Most likely because I was really bad at the game.

Raguda Kids on the N64 was very weird and frankly surreal.

And Pokemon(of all things) is extremely surreal! I mean you have to catch bizzare createres and then use them for your bidding and battle them.

Surreal!

Klonoa was kinda wierd. Inflating enemies then standing on them while playing as a cat with huge floppy ears he used as wings…

All of the Silent Hill games were pretty bizzare. No, bizzare doesn’t go far enough. It was like the developers overdosed on LSD, crack, and various other mind-altering/-destroying drugs, then drank about eighty tons of coffee, stayed awake for three months straight, got beaten by various wooden objects, then were told to create a survival horror game while still in their altered state. They hallucinated about psychotic nurses, guys with giant rusty helmets, and a stupid little girl that tried to kill them at every turn. Soon they sank into a deep depression brought about by their actions, and were eventually all gunned down in a drug deal gone bad. Konami then replaced them with look-alikes, and everything was repeated again.

Marina! It’s Marina!

Reference to what now?

Most surreal game would be most of the “games” on Action 52 for the NES. Such as “Time Warp Tickers”, where you play as two fingers running around a checkered floor, and you flick fridges and bowling balls. Whenever something dies, it turns into the word “Time?” And no, I am not making this up.
