- Chrono Trigger
** Final Fantasy VI - Mother
I never really like Chrono Cross, I think it really screwed ‘Chrono’ over.

Dammit, now I’ve got to do it at IGN too… ;-_-
FF 7,8,9,10, Chrono Trigger and Bahamut Lagoon.
Yes, I’m a Square whore, and I like it
Gamespot greatly exaggerates the value of one’s collection. There’s no way in hell that my games are worth $34681.05.
i play a lot of rpg’s so it was hard to pick my favs.
Wouldn’t it be cool if it were? Then you could sell the entire thing and buy each game back for less than that. You’d make money!
That list is crazy long. I’m hitting up Mr Saturn’s house tonight!
Points to sig
That’s by no means what it cost me mind you, it’s worth a fuckton less.
Maybe I can convince Gamespot to buy it from me for that price, since they think it’s worth that much and all.
Star Ocean 2 and/or 3 - I like Star Ocean 2 more because of it’s characters, and because it’s SP system has much more than Star Ocean 3’s. Both are good games however, with good music, and, quite possibly, the best and most engaging battle systems I’ve ever had the joy to play with. The fact of the matter is if you own a PS2, you owe it to yourself to at least rent Star Ocean 3.
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue - There’s only one thing the Lunar series has going for it; the people who make them know what their doing. It’s a standard RPG, to the letter, but it’s so well-executed that it remains charming even within it’s mast mediocrity, and I suppose that’s what makes it so endearing and fun. Plus, Working Designs has a way with charm and hooking me in. Omake box? Pendant? Full soundtrack with purchase? These people don’t sell me games, they cater to me, and I’m all for it.
Front Mission 4 and/or 3 - The best Strategy games on the Playstation. For me, anyway. FFT is all that stands in their way. I love the music, the setting in a future world with all the political spectrums of the world hundreds of years from now, I just like it. FM3 gets props for creating a unique diversion to keep itself from seeming too nonlinear. FM4, or more specifically SE gets a frown for not doing the same.
Wild Arms 2 - Favorite RPG’s. Not the best.
Also: Final Fantasy 7, 6, and 4. Chrono Trigger. Brave Fencer Musashi. Parasite Eve 1 and 2.
here’s my favorite rpg’s
1.ff6
2.ff4
3.chrono trigger
4.ff5
5.ff10
i guees that all :hahaha;
My current favourites would be FFs 6 and 7, though I’ve really just got into RPGs. Does anyone remember an old Mega Drive/Genesis title Sword of Vermillion? That was the first RPG I played and I was amazed by it, back then I’d never played anything like it before.
I like FF10, Xenosaga1 and 2
Hmmm…favorite RPGS…haven’t done this in a while, hell I haven’t even been here in weeks.
It’s hard to narrow it down to just ten, damn, who am I kidding, I can’t even narrow it down to 15.
Current favorites.
Growlanser II
Growlanser III(once I finish Growlanser II)
Tales of Symphonia(see, there are more good RPGs for GCN besides Paper Mario)
Paper Mario 2(hell, I liked both of them)
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Skies Of Arcadia Legends(another good GCN RPG, even though it’s a remake[nicely done] of a brilliant DC game)
32/64 bit era
Xenogears(which I recently re-purchased, hopefully, I’ll finish it this time)
Star Ocean 2(still looking to repurchase, though I HATED the voice acting)
Valkyrie Profile(see above, except I think Tri-ace/crescendo/whatever the hell they call themselves now improved the voice acting, and this game features Sakuraba’s best music)
Ogre Battle 64
Quest 64(solid game, but too short. I beat it in eight hours. Surprised to see that other people besides me played and enjoyed the game)
Paper Mario
Final Fantasy Tactics
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(currently replaying via my Zelda Collection for GCN)
The Retro shit I played when I was a kid.
Dragon Quest/Warrior 1-4(which my dad got for free back in the days when he was a NP subscriber)
Final Fantasy
Pools of Radiance(a good AD&D dungeon crawler, though the rest of you may not like it)
Ultima: Exodus
Warsong/Langrisser
Sword of Vermillion(another of those games the rest of you may not like)
Phantasy Star series
Shining Force series
Zelda, Link’s Adventure, LttP.
Retro classics I love now through emulation
Fire Emblem IV: Genealogy of Holy War(or whatever the Japanese name is)
Der Langrisser(which became my favorite RPG of all time)
Just Breed(I decided to check this out one day after Hiryuu was talking about it, and I was impressed)
Lufia(which for some fucked up reason I never played as a kid, because back then I lived in the boondocks)
Update: I’d add Valkyrie Profile to my list hehe…
Gameboy
Final Fantasy Legends 1-3
Zelda 2 - Links Awakening
NES
Dragon Warrior 1-3

Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6
Secret of Mana 1, 2

Genesis
Phantasy Star 2, 3, 4
Shining Force 1, 2
Landstalker
PSX
Wild Arms
Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9 (8 and 9 are good individual rpgs, but the comparison to 7 always makes them seem sub-par)
Suikoden 1, 2
PS2
Dark Cloud 2
Disgaea
FF-X, FF-X2
Wild Arms 3
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Suikoden 3, 4

Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind
Diablo 2
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale 2
Albion
Dark Sun
Betrayal of Krondor
Neverwinter Nights
Knights of the Old Republic 1, 2 (although the unfinished state of 2 was VERY frusterating, the first 20 hours of it were great.)
Heroes of Might and Magic 3, 4
Defense of the Ancients (Warcraft 3 map)
Top 10
It’s so hard to choose, as I absolutely adore so many games - the DQ and FF series, Lunar, and so on.
I’ll have to say Phantasy Star IV is the top runner at the moment. I blazed through it again back during my spring break. There’s just something about the sci-fi setting mixed with good old-fashioned good versus evil fight, where the distinction between the two is very clear and there’s no constantly self-doubting hero drama queen. I love how you have both skills and techniques, giving you enough ammo so that you don’t have to hold back during fights like you do with games like DQ.
