I just finished reading that play in school a few days ago…I feel so proud I noticed this witty reference.
I would like to thank these “scientists” for pointing out the obivious. Most people that play video games, get hooked on thus game and thus become and addict. I will willfully admit I am an gamer addict, and frankly I dont care. I can do whatever the fuck I want and nobody can tell me otherwise.

Sorry bout that. Its just I hate people like this that pick on us just because we play more video games than others. It doesnt mean we arent any more human than the next guy. It just aggrivates me.

I don’t care if they understand us or not. The thing that I hate the most about some people is that, they label video gamers as something that is less than an average human being.
I hate it when my friends tell me that I shoud get a life, or the only thing that I know what to do is playing vid games… I mean, playin’ vid games is a hobby of mine, do they have somthin’ aganist my hobby?
I like games a lot (well duh :P), but I’m not addicted to them. I can turn off whatever I’m playing whenever I need to, so long as I’ve saved recently.

Hmm… I guess I really am an amateur… I don’t play vid games as a profession.
Wrong definition, Fenril. 
It’s very easy to go around bashing games without ever trying them. Many so-called specialists do that. They basically write with preconceived opinions, without even examining the object of the supposed study. They don’t do that only with video games, but also with card games, books and whatnot.
As for excessive playing, I for one could spend a whole day around a game, especially when I’m bored out of my skull or want to get something that bothers me off my mind. Many people do that. Does that make them addicts or merely shows they can appreciate a good game?

Fenril that’s because the slang definition of Amateur is not in the definition. The true definition of amateur is somebody who play’s something without getting paid to do it. Up until recently you had to be an amateur to compete in the olympics. The slang definition is more of a symally for inexperienced but has a slight difference that I have trouble wording.
Ahh… Inexperience is what you guys are referring to… Just keep it simple, I don’t use my brain very often.
