I disagree, sure things do change, and I know I haven’t been around as long as you have but it’s the internet, it changes every second as does life. But why worry? All the people that have been around for awhile are still around. :-\ Just because one person leaves doesen’t make this the end of RPGC 
Instead of messing up a thread (and I’ve never been a fan of welcome/leaving threads) with accusations and counter-insults, maybe we could all just stay low-key for once and let CC alone. If she has a reason for leaving, fine - it’s her reason to take with her. Just because she declares that she’s going doesn’t mean she needs to be gone for ever. Not all leave-takings are permanent. It would be a horrible thing if we all expected each other to hold true to every decision we’ve ever made.
CC should be able to leave without harrassment if she wants, and come back without embarassment if she ever desires.
Well, admittedly, most people at these message boards consist of assholes or idiots, and I’m sure glad not to be an idiot.

If you create a thread totally out of the blue stating that you’re leaving, without giving any reason why, you should expect to get a lot of negative criticism. I’m sorry if I sounded too harsh, but CC’s given me no reason to think very fondly of her. She’s done this before, disguised as other stuff (asking if she could be banned, remember that?) And between defending Manus on the RP board, and the whole Orak thing, and just about everything she’s done, she’s given me the impression that she’s just a ditzy bible humper. I dunno, maybe that’s the counterlesbian in me talking. I don’t like hate her or anything, but if she does something to draw criticism, she’ll get it. Then again, maybe she’ll improve. Or, if she leaves, at least learn fom her mistakes.

Chrissy did not defend Manus. She don’t you to back off of him. But she didn’t try to justify what he was doing. Some people were just to prejudiced against Manus to see the difference and made Chrissy’s life hell. That ticked me off but my word ment shit and you put her into the same classification you put him which makes all of you the lesser men and women. I don’t know what this Orak incident is because I was gone for a while but it can’t be all that bad. I’d just like to know why my favourite roleplayer on the boards is leaving and try to have a chance to convince her to stay. And all the people giving negative remarks really aren’t helping.

I suppose you can look at things like that. Chris-Chris basically said, “I’m leaving,” and you said, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” assuming she was grasping for attention. Maybe you’re right, if so your reply was dead-on.
Or maybe, for example, she had a terrible day, lost a friend, came to RPGClassics hoping for some support, but instead found a dozen posts saying that she whined too much. So she said, “I’m apologising because you guys had to listen to my whining/bitching and complaining and childish personality. And now, you won’t have to put up with it anymore.” If this were the case, would you still say, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out?”
We don’t know what happened. Maybe you’re right. But a guilty-until-proven-innocent mentality doesn’t make for a very friendly community.

See, I really do wonder why people praise X for what he has to say because they usually do it because it is the appropriate thing to say and because it is unusual for X to present statements of tolerance and all that kinda shit when he continues to go against his own statements, sometimes within his own threads if not on the same day.
And people, stop talking about the Orak incident as it if it was an isolated incident or it wasn’t a big deal. It was a continuum of shit.
And it is utter shit to try to defend the utterly negative atmosphere that a lot of people have created by their constant lambasting of the other users. For example, Exo presents the idea that most people are still here. That’s wrong because most AREN’T. From Exo’s POV, its just most people he keeps an eye on. Also, a fucking community isn’t about attacking the nearest fucking person who might or might not have issues. I, like many others, was slightly annoyed by the utter lack of detail in CC’s post (AGAIN), however, I didn’t jump down her throat and I waited for details on what was going on before starting to give shit. This derailed into a fucking flamefest when people decided to essentially grab free posts and start mindlessly spouting crap because they felt like putting someone down for the purpose of putting someone down and that is very very uncool.
Being an shit community is bad in the end because that means that newcomers will hesitate to bring new people or to even step up, which has severe restrictions on the growth and diversity of the community. That is something to be avoided at all costs. So people, chill the fuck out. Even I’m not this fucking hostile.
I said that people should learn to know when to STFU and when to be honest. Frankly, this situation warrants a somewhat harsh dose of reality. And yes, you ARE this hostile. Almost always. Hell, you jumped on Steve’s back for saying the GBPlayer sucks. Claiming you’re not hostile is like Bush claiming he’s not a republican.
In these sorts of threads, if you don’t really have anything you want to say of value, or don’t feel terribly attached to the person, or if you just don’t like them, no one is twisting your arm to make you post. Just because a thread was made, it doesn’t mean that everyone is required to supply input. You can just ignore it and let it go. That would solve a lot of the issues people have with niceness around here.
Anyway, I don’t know why you’re leaving Chris, but enjoy yourself where you’re going.

As a note about Steve, I told him to back off because his behavior was the same assholish behavior which led to his banning and which contributed to the negative atmosphere of the message boards with people trying to push their way around and show that they’re right for the simple reason that it is their opinion (or to make it seem so).
And no, I am not “this” hostile on a continuous basis. I get “this” hostile on rare occasions when someone severely problematic, like Orian on the staff boards, causes shit for a long enough period of time. I don’t do things off the top of my head. I usually have a reason behind my actions against any particular individual. You’ll find its pretty rare for me to start destroying someone if you think about it with a little less bias.

Alwhine was a loooooooooooooot different from CC or anyone’s who’s been at RPGC in terms of the amount of problems and irritation that was brought. Alwhine was a racist, weak minded idiot that couldn’t stand being alone. If you talk to Hiei, he will tell you how he is still obsessed with RPGC and how he actually has an active fear of certain members of its satff. Alwhine was the pinnacle of attention whoring. While CC may want some attention, there are huge degrees of difference.

While you haven’t necessarily been really that bad in this thread, the general way you’ve posted goes against what you’ve been preaching that you allow people to go on for 3 pages of posts like this without speaking the hell up, showing a certain bias in who you decide to target. And while I would agree in part that CC hasn’t given the best impression, the fact that she would make a simple thread and people would jump on her as if it was a reflex is pretty fucking sad. Also, you were making statements AGAINST people just giving criticism to people just yesterday and you’ve been doing so for a while and now you’re defending it because…its CC? Because it wasn’t coming from the right source? And this doesn’t qualify as criticism. How I’ve addressed a couple of CC’s issues is criticism (thus the thanks). This thread is just flaming.

As far as CC is concerned, I repeat again: If she didn’t want people to tell her how they really felt about her attention cravings, she shouldn’t have made this stupid thread. Yeah, most of the time when you attack someone it has a legitimate reason- but those kind of attacks are like the “aqua ape” theory and stuff like that. I don’t really understand why you attacked Steve for a comment that was not even vaguely offensive or even stupid. I mean- you could argue that it was like saying “free post,” I suppose, but there was no malicious intent. I like it when you rip apart people who deserve it, but sometimes (like the last time you ripped Ren apart) they DON’T deserve it.
