So I ended up buying Kingdom Hearts.

In KH2, you can assign spells and items to each of the four buttons. By holding down L1, you can pull up the list and press one of the buttons to use the item or cast the spell. You only get four shortcuts, but it’s really helpful to use it rather than to scroll through menus during a fight.

Yeah, the people who made the movie made sure it all happened in sequential order. Thankfully. Hope you enjoy KH2

I’m buying it tomorrow, I can’t wait.

What I wasn’t accepting was Disney characters being expected to kill. I watched Ducktales. Some of the storylines I remember are when the Beagle gang storm the Piggybank and they have to defend until the robot duck hero gets there, and when Scrooge lost his fortune because of some old bet made in the past.

Didn’t they also have that in KH?

A bit off topic i know, but could someone please tell me what happens in KH:COM because im gonna get KH2 when it comes out and ive heard you need to play COM first which is a problem as i dont have it or a GBA which i think is the only format it was released on.
any help would be appreciated

You dont need to. All you need to know is that they were captured by Orginization XIII and put in a state of suspended animation. During this time a kid named Roxas has been living life in an alternate world.

Otherwise you see Orgination XIII and Namine in COM, but no Prior knowledge is needed to play KH II.

Might wanna put that in spoiler tags, DR. I’m jsut saying.

thanks. id read the reviews and stuff about KH2 and i was a bit confused about that guy Roxas…thanks for clearing that up DR

KH only allowed you to set shortcuts to three buttons, and they all had to be magic spells, not items.

Pfft, fine. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cro, maybe that video would do good to these folk. :stuck_out_tongue:

What I got from the CoM movie is that Sora just forgets everything that happened between KH’s ending, and CoM’s ending, so it doesn’t matter if he goes right into KH2; it won’t matter, he doesn’t remember anyways!.

Just because he doesn’t remember doesn’t mean nothing happened. What Riku and Namine went through still stands.

Maybe it would. So, anyone that wants to watch it, you can find it here. Anyway, as Seraph said, it would have quite a few people going “WTF.”

I figure I’d use this thread if and when I need help with KH2.

I just got to The Land of Dragons, but I noticed that in the fight against the multitude of Nobodies previously, I had a fuckhard time with it. I’m level 10 for Sora; is this okay?

If you have to describe it as “fuckhard”, you’d better do some leveling up. Works in most RPGs.

I’m level 25 and at Halloween Town; clocking 12 hours. It’s nothing different than the first game: visiting Disney worlds, fighting Heartless-ized Disney villains. I enjoyed that pirate world a lot, though. When do I actually get to fight Organization XIII? I thought the game focused around them.

As soon as you finish the Pride Lands, that’s when things start becoming mroe oriented on organization XIII. Well, techncially, after you beat Tron’s world, but that segues into fighting them soon enough.

How close am I to the ending? The first KH took me 23-24 hours, and I’ve clocked like 13-14 now in KH2.

If you dont bother with any sidequests- wait, there are none…

25-35 hours.
