Well, besides the fact I don’t have any money, I’ve learned to not trust first generation Sony hardware, so I wouldn’t have gotten one regardless unless I was just planning to sell it on ebay.

Well, you’re talking 450K units to go around 300million americans, and since each store is basically only getting a handful, getting one is basically pure luck.

I made the mistake of buying a PS2 a month after its release and I’ve had nothing but problems with it. If I ever get a PS3, it’ll be years from now…hopefully once HDDVD wins and they take out that stupid ass Blu-Ray player 
I still have my launch PS2 and it’s never once disappointed me.
Also, the PS3 would be awesome if it wasn’t expensive 
I’m pretty sure that’s not a rumor, what with EBstop telling their employees to go fuck themselves if they want a PS3. We’ll know soon enough, I guess.
I’m gonna wait. So far there isn’t really anything for the PS3 that I want. Hell, any game I am sort interested in is already out for the XBox 360. The only games on the horizon that I am interested in are MGS4 and FF13. The PS3 is just too much money at this point for such few games. Besides, it is WAY too much work to get one. Hell, I already saw people camping outside of Best Buy.

I tried getting a PS2 from eBay when they were first released, but my seller was a bit ridiculous. He said he wouldn’t be able to send the PS2 because his leg got infected by a skin-eating bacteria or something (he even included a picture!) and asked to keep our money until he recovered. I told him to screw off (he could’ve easily been lying) and got my money back.
I ended up getting a free base stand and SSX Snowboarding from the guy…but I don’t no why.
