Ok, I can’t seem to find help anywhere else, so I’ll here.
I don’t get this:
How do I set it so that when you talk to someone, they join your party?

I can answer that one… Use the change party command on the first page of event commands. If that was not specific enough, I’ll post back.
I do that, but there still seems to be problems.
Well, the only things I can suggest are:
a) make sure you’re adding, not removing the hero
and
b) make sure you’re adding the right hero
Ok, got it to work, now how after that do I make his sprite not stay where he was? I want him to kind of move inside of the other character like in FFVII.
Move event command on the second page… move “This event” in these steps:
Start Slip Though
Step towards hero (the hero can only talk to an NPC from one space away, so that’ll move the other character towards the hero)
Change Switch: [Whatever one makes the guy dissapear]
End Slip Though
I cannot find the slip through command. (I wish Rast was on)
Start Slip Through is in “Move Event” in the second tab.
Err, I don’t get it.
Er… isn’t there a HELP file?

Ok, it works, but he doesn’t stay, once I move he is where I was standing.
You need a switch to make him dissapear. You can edit and turn on/off switches in tab 1 of event commands.
I don’t get it again… and steve no I don’t have a help file.
I never understood switches too well either, for me, theyw e’re the only thing I really couldn’t do…
I wonder if Rast is coming on… otherwise, Zhou, could you help some more?

Er, I’m using 2000.
Switches are one of the most important things…
It’s the same darn thing.
