I don’t advise smoking to people though, I realize the dangers of cigarettes, I just do it though… My choice, my life… I enjoy it too…

Manus, it’s a person’s choice if they smoke or not. You can’t just say “DON’T SMOKE GRAH” and expect people to listen.

I don’t think smoking should be aloud in the workplace, it just doesen’t seem right, this coming from a smoker, but you know what I mean.
Oh, definitly, I agree with that. I don’t think smoking should be allowed in public buildings because there are people who are allergic to it and because it is dangerous, even if I don’t think it’s dangerous in the amounts it gives off, however, as such being forced outside, I don’t really like being told to put my cigarette out by some chick with an attitude. Being polite’ll get you a long way.

Yeah I don’t smoke in public much, yeah one I’m underage but who can tell, yes it is polite, I don’t smoke in restraunt, I just smoke at home or at places where it’s safe to smoke. Yeah being out in public is a hassle since you know being addicted makes ya go crazy lol… But hey, I have some patiance.
How is smoking in public a hassle? Some of my friends smoke, and no one gives them any trouble when they do it in public.
I hate smokers, I have asthma so that adds to my disdain for them, but I live in New York state, recently a law was passed I cant quite remember when it takes effect, but it will be illegal to smoke in any public facility.

If people have the right to smoke around me, I should have the right to publicly carry radioactive materials.
Yeah you have the right to smoke, but do you have the right to endanger others? Whether its fatal, or just mildly damaging, Your right to smoke ends as soon as it hurts ANYBODY else. Personally, I am allergic to cigarette smoke, people smoking around me is no different than me finding someone allergic to chocolate and force-feeding them some. If somebody wants to smoke, they should do it away from anybody/everybody who doesnt specifically want smoke around them. Most people aren't specifically allergic, but thats not an excuse. Cigarette smoke still contains over 400 poisons that not everbody wants. And nobody should be poisoned against their will. Personally, I'm glad that Florida passed a law banning smoking from public restaurans, and from workplaces. That is the difference. However, in the Marine Corps, much work is outside, but that is still very cool on both of you. Although, I’m pretty easy going about smoking. Such as my biggest complaint this arguement is that the guy thinks that non-smokers like the smell of smoke. Such as he would smoke indoors since he doesn’t think that it would bother anybody, contrary to the way you guys are, which is great. You are the kind of guys that I’d be fine being good friends with even though you smoke (not too many of my friends smoke and all of my best friends don’t smoke, not by choice, it just sort of happened).

First of all, the majority of people who smoke know what a cigarette is doing to them.They dont care, they probably heard the IT’S BAD FOR YOU routine a thousand times, but that wont sway them to quit.probably because they’re addicted, Manus:p
Asking them to move or stating that the smoke gives you a headache or something like that, will probably get them to move.if not, that’s the point where I get a bit miffed.

Okay that’s lame…I dont know you dude, but the people who smoke in my school are all bums.They hang outside at all hours of the school day slouched over, with their hoods up and cut their eyes at anyone who dares to look at them.Nearly half of them are dropouts who smell and have nothing better to do but put people on their hitlist.That’s so not cool.But I’m just speaking for my area so hey, if it works for you.

i don’t really like smoking, as because of being around people who smoke almost all my life, i seem to tire very easily in any sort of athletic activity.
maybe that’s why i hate the p.e. courses in school.

I don’t smoke, and I probably won’t. Reason: Even if I wanted to, I’m broke and can’t afford it. It’s up to the person if they wanna smoke, but hey, just consider for the people that don’t right?
