Q: What does a sorceress wear?

A: A bewitching outfit! HAHAHAHA! haha…ahem

These are outfits for a female mage, the use is for daily traveling, in rainy Autumn weather. The idea is that the mage has to keep a fairly low profile, and wear something that say, a bard would wear. I’m trying to decide which would be better to use, any and all input would be helpful.
Consider each outfit and write what you think (honestly…if you think it sucks, SAY IT :P)

These are the designs:

Design One

Design Two

Design Three

Design Four

So this is what you were sketching earlier! 8)

Well, let’s see here…

I think the fourth one looks the most like a sorceress outfit. The first one looks more like a swordswoman or a fencer, whereas the second one reminds me of Jack’s outfit from the first Wild Arms game, and the third looks a bit like an “engineer” (probably because of the goggles).

Don’t get me wrong; they’re all incredibly well-drawn. But when I think of sorcerers/sorceresses/magic users, I usually think of things like long, flowing robes, or things like capes or “ceremonial” wear.

So I’m going to say that number four is the best one.

I thought 1 and 3 were the only possibilities, if the purpose was to keep a low profile and autumn traveling. However, if you factor in the ‘what a bard would wear’ element, I’d say three. Also, mages typically never use swords and such. Of course, there are exceptions, but the stereotype/cliche is like that. Hence I voted 3

The first one looks like it’d be too heavy for a mage to use, and the last one looks a bit… weird to me, so I’d say either 2 or 3.

I picked #2. Looks nice, warm, and none too restrictive. Remove the two first and you’ll have #4 plus slightly more noticeable profile.

Like said, bard goes well. Seeing they need to be ‘everywhere’ and not to cause a general stir when walking into a quiet community.

Of course, now that you think of it, there’s a bit’o stereotyping…#1 has a few pieces armor, so she wouldn’t necessarily be thought of as a sorceress at first… While #4 with all that flow couldn’t be easily mistaken of…

Not one, I’m leaning towards three but the flight goggles or whatever they are are kinda throwing me. Four is cool, either three or four depending if you want stereotypical or not.

One is nice, but doesn’t seem very sorceressy (I know, the low profile, but still).

Two reminded me of Jack too >>

Three on the other hand reminds me of my friend Kat.

Four is nice though.

I have to go with #3 because it’s probably the one that might keep the lowest profile and keep her warm in autumn,#2 works to if you want,as for #1 and #4 it has already been explained.

I’m liking 3 the best. The coat in that one is pretty cool.

I suggest Option 5. Naked. Can’t get more low profile than that.

I like #3, and #4 best. But they all look magnificant!

Number three looks the best for rainy autumn weather.

Number TD!

facepalm No TD…no leather thongs in 40º weather.

Probably two. One wouldn’t give much of a low profile. Yes she wouldn’t look much like a sorceress, but she’d still attract attention looking like a warrior. The fourth looks most like something a sorceress might wear, but she doesn’t want to stand out so probably 2 or 3. I like the goggles in three ^^

I pick number 5.

I think it would be awesome if you combind the capeness of 4 with the underneith metalness of 1. That’s hot.

:kissy:

I said 4. I thought it looked the coolest. 1 kinda looks like a fencer, and I wasn’t too fond of 2 or 3 (they both looked pretty much the same IMO).

984 fails, her thong is made out of metal.
