Paper

I’m writing a paper for my English Composition Class about the issue of “violence” in video games. I was wondering if anyone could give me some links to some sites with articles on this.

how banal, no other topics?

Rather than write on something more trite and commonplace, like euthanasia or abortion, I chose something I might actually know something about.

:fungah: :noway: If you knew so much about it , you wouldn’t be asking us for links.

key word: MIGHT

What other topics are at your disposal? How much time do you have? What do you have to do? How long does it have to be?

2-4 pages due Monday: a persuasive argument on any issue that I have first-hand experience with.

Edit: I have to turn in my whole planning process <strike>tomorrow</strike>at 9 AM Eastern Time.

Thanks TD

You really should do your own damned research. :fungah:

Oh my God, it’s not like he’s asking us to write the whole fucking paper, dammit. he just wants some links.

Here’s a link on the flip side of the arguement…could influence some of your thinking, give you ideas, etc http://www.mavav.org

This could go in the homework Forum.

Good luck on your paper, I have no good sites, sorry.

You could go to the source of the rating system…

First off, that mavav thing is fake, some guy created it in a week for some class to find out people’s reactions to some extreme information. Secondly, if it’s so damn easy for us to find links, he could at least look through google first, it’s his paper, not ours.

Guys, I think your being to hard on him. Yeah, anybody can do a google seach, but he’s asking if any of us have done a similar paper. He’d probably find the information anyway. Good luck ahkeeyuu, let us how it turns out.

If you were to come down on the side of “yes, there is too much violence” and then cite as your examples games like SOCOM navy seals (which has a “join the military” pitch in the opening credits) as your evidence of violence-advocating video games,

You will be my God.

P.S. Saw a used copy of a game in the local EB the other day… “Desert Storm 2: Return to The Gulf” which was a video game fictional sequel to the real gulf war 1… but of course, since the make of the game, we’ve REALLY HAD a sequel war.

Draw your own conclusions and Have Fun…

Heres a link, go back to the Agora main menu and click the homework forum.

You all suck, he just wanted a little bit of information, just becau8se he didn’t know a fast way to search for it doesn’t mean he’s a moron. Cyber, Sin and everyone else who made fun of this guy should be ashamed!
