Like the topic states,mention the most memorable death you know either from an anime,game or movie.It can be anything:most heartbreaking,beutifull,honarable or all of above.This is going to be spoiler heavy so we won’t bother with the spoiler tags.My list consist of:

1.Nicholas D. Wolfwood’s:It was one of the most memorable deaths i have seen,it was heartbreaking and beutiful at the same time.If you don’t know it go see Trigun

2.Maxim’s:It was heartbreaking,specially when they show his son at the end.

I’m also quite fond of the last episode of Cowboy Bebop. Oh, and the way how Kaze sacrificed himself to be soil; Good too. Or how Uranus sacrificed herself so Sailor Moon would get the second talisman…

The most memorable death I ever saw was that of Jack Nickelson in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. It was really emotional and depressing because his mind was already dead and he had been such a lively person.
Also Aeris because it is just such a great scene.

Fry’s dog from Futurama. That brought a tear to my eye the first time I saw the ep.

Two words: Cowboy bebop. The end of that series I didn’t expecting that until seeing the last episodes of course that that was probably going to happen.

The end of the movie, the Butterfly effect was truely bittersweet since you got to liking the character or at least I did. I didn’t get to see the alternate verison, but I have heard it sucks.

The Japanese movie, Parasite Eve, had a kind of romantic end to it that i wasn’t expecting to happen.

Ghost ship, that movie had some beautiful deaths cause I’m a sick puppy.

Titantic, omg i so wasn’t expecting the boat to sink. >_>; (sarcasm)

Anime: I’m gonna go with the death of Wolfwood on this one, too.

Game: When you get the really bad ending in Silent Hill 2. :open_mouth:

Movie: The way the priest died in the Omen…impaled by a lightning rod. o.o;;;

I found the ending to Lunar Silver Star Story to be the most tear jerking I’ve ever had, next to Final Fantasy 8’s… Thats one other thing… 8’s ending is the ONLY final fantasy ending that brought a tear to my eye.

Deaths:

  1. When Aeris died, I’m sorry for just not giving a rat shit, but I was like “Huh… how’s cloud standing in the middle of that lake…?”
  2. I didn’t want Ghaleon to die in Lunar 2 Eternal Blue… >_<
  3. Anime - Escaflowne, I loved Vargas, he could take on a fucking mech with a big sword… He did NOT deserve to die… (I think that was Vaan’s mentor’s name…)
  4. Movie - Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, The main female characters were too cool to die… And the cool black guy… WHY?!

Either way, this is just off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s somthing that means more too me, but I’m tired and cant think up anything better right now.

When Aeris died, it was ultra cheesy but still the most memorable moment in the game…

also, delitas death in FFT, and most of the other deaths in FFT for that matter. as well as a bunch of deaths in the suikoden series and all those times fei dies in xenogears.

Anime: Alright, this isn’t exactly a cool death, but the reason I mention it is because I found it a very cheap and stupid way to die. Fulcon from Escaflowne. What better way to be killed off than have a fuckin’ sword brake, fly back, and stab you in the chest…

Game: Here’s an honorable one. Schala sacrificing herself to save Crono and peps. I know she’s alive in Chrono Cross, or so I’ve heard, but if you leave it at Chrono Trigger then, well, you can say she died.

Can think of nothing else at the moment.

Delita didnt die. At least, its not probable that he died. The possibility of a man who survived a windmill explosion, graduated from a military academy, and attained the rank of Holy Knight, getting stabbed by a little princess with a fucking dagger is HIGHLY unlikely. Also, if you actually read Olan’s last words you’d see his indications that Delita is still alive. However, its true that nearly every one else dies in FFT, at least… anyone of significance and everyone in your party… >_<

And the death of Ish in Earth Abides, the whole thing was very depressing.

Wait, i thought Ovelia got stabbed by delita at the end of FFT?
Also, number one memorable death has gotta be Aeris.
she was probably thinking, where did that guy come from? ooo, nice sword.
sniff and she was my strongest character too! (no lie man)
Also, tidus, auron and Jecht were sad too. especially Aurons. i mean, he tries to aveng his best friend and ends up getting stabbed by that yunalesca chick.
