I’m trying to rememmber the name to a Linkin Park song. The only lyrics I can remember is “I tried to give you warnning but everyone ignors me.” Does anyone know what I’m talkin about?
Nevermind I got it.
Ah yes. Classic song there.
“Nobody’s Listening” off Meteora.
Yo, peep the style and the kids checking for it
The number one question is “how could you ignore it?”
And drop right back in the cut
over basement tracks and rap stack got you backing us up
Like…Rewind that!
We’re just rollin’ with the rhythm,
rise from the ashes of stylist division
With these non-stop lyrics and life living,
not to be forgotten, but still unforgiven
But in the meantime, there are those
who wanna talk this and that, so I suppose
that it gets to a point where feelings got to get hurt,
and get dirty with the people spreading the dirt. It goes…Tried to give you warning, but everyone ignores me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listening
Called to you so clearly, but you don’t want to hear me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listeningI got a heart full of pain, head full of stress
Hand full of anger, Held in my chest
And everything left’s a waste of time,
I hate my rhymes, but hate everyone else’s more
I’m riding on the back of this pressure,
guessing that it’s better, I can’t keep myself together
Because all of this stress gave me something to write on,
the pain gave me something I could set my sights on
Never forget the blood, sweat and tears,
the uphill struggle over years, the fear and
Trash talking and the people it was to,
and the people that started it, just like youTried to give you warning, but everyone ignores me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listening
Called to you so clearly, but you don’t want to hear me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listeningI got a heart full of pain, head full of stress
Hand full of anger, Held in my chest
Uphill struggle, blood, sweat and tears
Nothing to gain, everything to fear
Heart full of pain, head full of stress
Hand full of anger, Held in my chest
Uphill struggle, blood, sweat and tears
Nothing to gain, everything to fear
Heart full of pain…Tried to give you warning, but everyone ignores me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listening
Called to you so clearly, but you don’t want to hear me
Told you everything loud and clear
But nobody’s listeningI got a heart full of pain, head full of stress
Nobody’s listening
Hand full of anger, Held in my chest
Nobody’s listening
Uphill struggle, blood, sweat and tears
Nobody’s listening
Nothing to gain, everything to fear
Nobody’s listening(Comin at you from every side…)
When I first got Wind Waker I also bought the Meteora CD, and since the music in Wind Waker sucks the big one I listened to the CD instead. So now whenever I hear “Nobody’s Listening” I picture the Earth Temple in my head. Very weird.
Hahah Nobody’s Listening… no shit.
Linkin Park is fun to listen too. Their lyrics don’t offer too much depth past the angst ridden “Numb” but their songs are fun to listen too while on the road or something.
Yeah gila, no one EVER listens to them.
Shaddup >.>
It was a joke. Just like 50%+ of my other posts.
and like 50+% of your LIFE
>.>;;
I knew it was a joke, but I was merely pointing out ahead of time that Linkin Park isn’t a band that makes absolutly serious music; which is a problem I notice with a lot of people. Far too many people depelte the value of fun when it comes to music (and movies) and look only for a serious message or overtone.
I could care less about that. Linkin Park isn’t appealing to my ears- that is why I dislike them. I do not like music on pretenses of being better than other people or whatever. I’d like to think most people think that way as well.
Where did you get that idea about Linkin Park? If that’s your pretense for music, you must adore Blink 182, who make a big deal about not being the best ever.
You completely misread what I said. I said they aren’t appealing to my ears. I also said that I do not judge music that way- I didn’t say that Linkin Park judged themselves that way. I know jack shit about how Linkin Park thinks about themselves since I don’t care about them. Same with Blink 182 and their equally stupid band name.
ok seeing as how i’m drunk i’ll admit it i used to think linkin park was alright, but fuck i heard music that was way cooler, so i have no time for them now. AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH!!!
*edit oh man i actually posted that :ulty:
I’m not a big fan of linkin park, but I think it’d be wrong to say their songs don’t have meaning. Compared to the flatness of most pop, rock, and metal lately, they have a lot of meaning. More than I’ve heard from a lot of other bands. Or at least the one song of their’s I like does.
CC: Don’t start with stupid band names. The stuff you’ve sent me alone would dig you an early grave in that argument.
I didn’t say that the bands I listened to didn’t have stupid band names, but I will say that they take more imagination than it takes to stick a random word with random numbers next to it.
Hell, I have a good voice. I’ll start a band called Jump 63 and sing about girls and how much money I make.
Haha. Blink thought that too. Too bad they have whiney voices, are interested in complete whores, and don’t make that much money because they blow
I agree with Sorc over the whole Linkin park thing. I used to be obsessed with Hybrid Theory a year or so ago, and not because of their fairly similar rebel-against-you lyrics. I find there’s some of that present in every one of their songs, and because of that type of style occuring so much, it’s hard to take them so seriously. Fun songs to listen to indeed.
I’m sure everybody has a reason for choosing the band name that they do, but sometimes a blatantly stupid name reflects the stupidity of the band members thus the stupidity of the music. ;p I think it’s safe to say that’s true for Blink. But ultimately it doesn’t really matter. What is stupid to one person makes perfect sense to another. Everyone has their own opinion, and no one’s opinion is better than anyone else’s
