Hey, I got a question

If Sephiroth is so great, how come he’s dead?

Oh ho ho such a hostile question.

because Sephiroth is a legend no matter his fate, dead or alive.

Everything that has a beginning, has an end. Including life.

He was the bad guy. Bad guys die. The system works. Do not defy the system.

Sephiroth isn’t great, he sucks.:runaway:

I think he meant great as in almighty and powerful, which many people on GameFAQs will argue with you about, proving it so:thud:

Sephirot was cool (Don’t start with “Why was he cool?” because we already have a several pages long thread abou that), he was helluva powerful and he wore a black coat with a huge-ass sword.

He was a good villain with a good caracterization, I still don’t understand the fanatism about him though.

Me either. Probably for the same reason Cloud is so popular, whatever that would be.

Dying is cooler than living.

Just ask James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morisson, Janis Joplin, John Belushi, Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, Kurt Cobain, Tupac and Biggie Smalls.

[edit: and would ANYBODY remember Aaliyah and/or that “Queen of the Damned” flick she did if she hadn’t died so young? Nope.]

It’s a lot harder to be legendary if you’re still sucking oxygen…

We can’t, they’re dead.

True, but do you really wanna go around talking to the other side of the equation: the mediocre unlegendary living celebrity entertainers who faded into obscurity?

I sure don’t.

:get it?: “Mr. Kaiser, sir, Jordan Knight is on line two…”

“Tell him I’m not here.”

Hah! That was a burn…good one…heehee:mwahaha:

Sephiroth was hot, powerful, and angsty. That would make almost anyone forget everyone else and believe him the best. but meh, I really don’t think he was so great. He didn’t spark any emotion in me, really.

The bigger the sword, the smaller…nah, I won’t go there.

As for being a good villain, considering he’s dead from day one (outside of flashbacks, Cloud did kill him there and then) and what you actually follow is a frikkin cheaparsed clone, what’s the big deal?

A large library/archive of material/deeds released posthumously. JUST LIKE TUPAC.

[See my earlier posts.]

SPEAK NOT OF TUPAC, FOOL!

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> Damnit Zero, spoiler tags >< Just started my first FF7 playthrough, and you kinda ruined my biggest question ;_;
