Hell yeah! I just got a United We Stand!

This has got to be the best card ever: United We Stand: For every face up monster you control, increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 800 points. This combined with Hayabusa Knight (attacks twice) and scapegoat can easily kill someone in a turn.

What on earth are you blabbering about? I think you hit the wrong button in the MtG thread…

so I wanted to start a yu-gi-oh thread after getting an incredible card. is that a crime?

Yeah, I don’t have that… yet.

TD its Yu gi oh…

…crap…MTG ownz your mind and Soul.

You kind talk about YGO without some moron bringing up MTG and (usually) saying its better…

Yeah but MtG is better :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Too damn predictable, don’t talk about MTG in a YGO thread.

Not at all, but specifying you’re talking about yo-gi-oh would help, I thought this was about Magic.

And for the record, I don’t play any card games.

I believed it too, so, Seeing a YGO thread angered me…Sorry.

I used to play the Pokémon card game… see, I know how to do the é! Oh well.

I used to do them, Cloud. But I gave them up quite a few years ago. Although I still have all my cards, what I can say I’m pack-rat!

Hayabusa Knight?

I’m sorry, I just started having Ninja Gaiden flashbacks.

I used to play MtG in the open. It’s a game for all ages and most players around the world are about my age. But since Yu-gi-Sucks went on TV, I could never play MtG again without being compared to little empty-headed kids who like to watch infantile animes. I almost lost my pride of being a MtG player. So you see, I hate Yu-gi-Stuff and all thins related to it. It angers me. I can’t wait for the day when they’ll stop that show, since all animes created to sell colectibles die off someday.

BeyBlade! :stuck_out_tongue:

Jareth, Leonine Titan

Well, only if their genesis is in that order. Gundam is still popular, despite it’s merchandising. There is a Gundam Wing card game, which I recall didn’t sell well, as opposed to Pokemon, which was wildly bought and/or stolen, but then died off when something new hit the market.

M:TG is a substantive game, despite the overcomplexity which has crept in over the years. Yu-gi-oh (I speak in ignorance; I don’t play it) may be just as substantive. It remains to be seen.

Magic has many possibilities. Yu-Gi-Oh eliminates the need of a constant mana supply.

Both have huge vicious creatures, but Magic has a greater variety.

Magic doesn’t have a creature or trap/magic card limit, so you can throw everything you’ve got, as long as you have enough mana.

Yu-Gi-Oh is interesting, but Magic is more appealing to me.

I’ve been collecting Magic cards for some time, and I have found some interesting ones.

It’s not just about the game, it’s also the emotion of opening a booster without knowing what you’re going to find.

Most kids just go after the TCG or toy that has just been released, in a futile attempt to gain some popularity or make others jealous.

For me, Magic is much more than that. It’s an evolving world. It stimulates imagination and it provides endless challenges. Every card I possess is unique to me, no matter how many copies I may have, and I would never give them up, no matter the offer. Crosis the Purger, Rith the Awakener, Thriss, Nantuko Primus, Jareth, Leonine Titan, Leviathan, Insurrection, Sigil of the New Dawn… they aren’t just cards, they are part of a fascinating hobby that inspires me. They are timeless and unique wonders of creativity.

MTG is strategy.
YGO is Money and Luck.

Yu-Gi-Oh boosters are a rip-off!
