Booya!

Alright people, I’m back. The reason why I wasn’t active yesterday and most of today was that I was getting a new comp, and my old one had to be chopped up so I would get to keep all my good shit and my sister would only have 10 Gig of space :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, specs, since I like bragging:

Hewlet Packard
Pentium 4 2.4 GHz
256 MB Ram
NVidia GF4 MX 440 (transferred from old comp)
40 gig HD
60 gig HD (transferred from old comp, filled up with Anime, Manga, Music and Roms. Expect an f-serv in #rpgc in a few minutes.
A live rat

Also, the guys who came to set up my comp finally got my ADSL working. It took us 3 months, but it’s worth it. So now I can finally play Q2 properly, woo :stuck_out_tongue:

On a totally unrelated note, I bought SoAL yesterday. It kicks horribly much ass. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.

That’s it. First thing to do when I get a job: buy a new computer.

I hate you TD. But at least you can host decent Q2 games now.

I upgraded mine, just didn’t mention it, I’ll give the specs later maybe.

Guh. Apparently, Win Xp comes with a standard firewall. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Hmmmmm… I suggest that you open the connection and look at the properties screen. The firewall controls should be around.

Hmm… Go into start -> my network place
on the left go to ‘my network connections’ or something like that
find the connection with a lock on it
right click it, go to properties
click on the ‘advanced’ tab, and uncheck the firewall.

I actually stumbled over what Manus said just before he said it. Everything works now. Oh well, thanks anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

f-serv up

Congrulations on getting a computer more or less equal to mine! :stuck_out_tongue:

Speaking of standard stuff… My Internet history (including the drop-down menu with the sites you’ve visited) is cleared everyday… Windows ME… Help?

That’s strange. Are you sure you don’t have any history eraser working?

Not that I know of. It’s been doing it since I reformatted.

Well, if the internet option menus are the same in ME and XP, then… this doesn’t make sense. I’m sure I don’t see any option to make the list be erased according to schedules… Oh, wait! Check the options and see the number of days the historic registry is supposed to keep track of. Maybe that’s the problem!

Since I truly not know that much about computers, I’m going to believe that all that stuff you have in your computer TD, is GOOD! And that I should now be very jealous!!

It’s OK HS, but it isn’t great.

TD’s shit is standard.

And Cala, it’s under Tools-> Internet Options for IE.

2.4 GHz is standard now? Man, where did the time go? Back in my days, we got brand spankin’ new Pentium 1 processors, with 90 MHz, no 3d card, and we LIKED it… damn kids, your parents spoiled you…

Bah, I hate you TD. My computers net access is destroyed, my backup computer is dead. The power is off due remodeling, and I’m typing this reply from a puny little laptop.

sniff I only have a 333MHz processor

I still remember the old ZX Spectrum… I think the one I have put away somewhere in is still working… Interesting little thing, but I almost fell asleep while waiting for it to finish loading data from the tapes.
