Goliath Bird Eater Tarantulas get pretty big too. Used to be a guy in my Grandparent’s neighborhood who took one for walks daily on a custom made leash. Called it “cuddles.”

Well, in SoCal where I live, we don’t have cold weather, but what we do have is shitloads of spiders. You kinda get used to seeing them after a while, so no, I’m not even scared of them in the least, not even the overrated black widows that are common. It’s kinda like going to the top of a tall building if you’re afraid of heights or something, I guess.
I like spiders. The bigger the better too.
Spiders are ugly… Whenever I see pictures of big ones like that, I get an urge to kick them. >_>
