…when you’re at the premiere of the movie you directed and are surprised that people have a reaction other than smiling and nodding. (this TRULY happened, though with an actual Japanese director)
What was the movie, and what was the reaction? 
The Calamari Wrestler, and laughing like hell.
Director was pleased, as it was supposed to be feckin’ funny, and it was.
