I checked for an older thread that I could necropost on, but didn’t find one so…

how many of you saw…

you like it like I liked it?
I loved it.
I even cried.
first time since I was 8 that I cried in a movie y’know…
Still, I walked out feeling pretty good.

Is it for entertainment?
no.

plain and simple.
no.

Only complaint I’ve really got is that it seems to be a “preaching to the choir” sorta movie.
Only people I know who felt like it had a profound effect on them, or walked away and thought it was totally sweet… other Christians.
And that sucks.
but hey, who am I to force others to feel what I feel?

Just wish more people would empathize y’know?

Yeah, really good movie. Bloodiest movie ive ever seen. Man, that whipping scene was brutal. And the cross. Ouch.

I saw it. I dont know if it was ‘good’ or not, im not a christian so i didnt know what to look for.

I’ll tell you this though.

ITS FUCKING BLOODY.

Its insane how much blood is in it. I know it was supposed to be an accurate reconstruction of jesus last days, but, man! As one movie critic said “It was more like the jesus chainsaw massacre”.

I really don’t want to see it. I don’t think the Bible is was meant to be made into what sounds a Kill Bill esque movies.

Well, the whole point for all of the blood, violence, etc is to show what jesus did for us. I mean, he could have just denied what the people had said and been released. But he went through all of that.

I guess I just don’t need a movie to tell me what Jesus went through.

When you see this movie, it puts it in a whole new prospective.

Oh, i didnt cry. The only movie i ever HAVE cried during, was 2001: A space oddessy. Daisey is such a sad song. ;_;

I almost saw it Saturday night, but I didn’t feel like waiting three hours for a showing that wasn’t sold out.

I started crying basically after it started (the first time he was being beaten with those “poles”). I loved the movie and want to see it again. I definately will say it’s a heart wrencher.

I was going to go see this movie with my GF (she’s going to become a Luthern Pastor), but she saw it without me and had too walk out…it was too bloody for her.

I doubt I’ll see it then. I think there’s too much blood in most movies out now-a-days.
