I don’t think you read right - my friend stole about $10,000 from his fathers company account.
I have to say that if you knew my friend you would think he’d need a nice old fashioned ass kicking. He’s not exactly out of control, his parents just don’t have any sort of hold on him. I have to say that watching his father beat the snot out of him was uncool though. There are better ways for parents to get their message across without having to beat their kid up in front of his friends.
I thought I had done a well enough job of getting my point across considering that the most words of the post were geared towards this one event. But I guess that all the added stuff diluted my point.
I would think it would be more embarrassing for Sim’s father in the future. I mean, when somebody asks him “What did you do when you found out you son was stealing from you?” I don’t think he’ll just shoot back with “Oh, I beat the shit out of him!” That would raise a few eyebrows if you know what I mean.
Sim, on the other hopefully knew he would be caught eventually, and if his dad didn’t do the damage, I’m sure the police would if they were to arrest and interogate him.

You’re telling me 17 year olds go to jail in the states? Jeeze… that’s harsh. We have juvie up here in Canada.
So do we, but depending on the crime, then a minor can be charged as an adult, and recieve a harsher sentence and be sent to a state peneteniary(or however you spell it). I think the youngest convicted murderer in the US was like, 13 - but he’ll be in a juvie center until he’s 18, then he’ll be transferred to a State pen.
But if your 17 they may just throw you in the state pen.
Well, few more things to say. The way you first posted it, you said your friend and his dad got into a fist fight, not that his dad beat him up. A fist fight sounds more equal. But I guess I know now…
And even though your friend was certainly more plastered than you were, even you shouldn’t have been driving. You had been drinking enough that your judgement would’ve been seriously impaired. And also, I wouldn’t have let your friend drive at all. It doesn’t matter whether he’s your friend, and you trust him with your life, but he’s not just a danger to people inside the car.
Just out of curiosity, do you have to take a drug and alcohol course before getting your driver’s license, because we have to in Florida.
Yea, but you take it in school as part of the health course, then you take a little test and if you make a 70 or above they give you this card that you have to present to the people at the DMV.

I agree. He may have already been dealt with (the fight) but that by no means means he’s been punished appropriately.
I’ve said this to you and I’ll say it again. Breaking the law just for shits and giggles isn’t all that cool. I’ve done my care of stupid shit (hell, I think I’ve done this before, though no spray painting and destroying shit though, but the breaking and entering in someone else’s abandoned house I did do), but unlike you, I know that having fun at the expense of society sucks, because it ultimately comes back onto you in harsher laws/harsher punishments if you get caught/various other nasty ways.
Uh, how bout everyone quits repeating themselves over and over and actually discusses something rather than preaching to Sorc about how he’s so fucking evil. I’d think he wouldn’t really care, and that all you guys are doing is wasting time.
