It followed the book closely enough.
I mean, do we really want to see squirrels shelling walnuts instead of geese laying golden eggs?

I think I’ll check this one out. I still have the jingle stuck in my head.
I haven’t read that book in the longest time, I don’t remember squirrels shelling walnuts…
I’ll probably wind up seeing it just out of curiousity. My brother will probably have to be left at home, I’m sure it’ll wind up giving him nightmares.
The parts that didn’t really follow the story in the first movie are like the very ending leading into the next book and how Charlie was tempted by Slugworth. I don’t even remember Slugworth being in the book.
I thought so also.
this is going to be absolutely amazing.
Yeah, Cookie watched it with me, and I agree too. It’s kinda creepy.
Willy Scissorhands
It looks good but VERY eerie.
Looks just as strange as the original, only Willy’s haircut is a little to dandy for my tastes.
I dunno. All I know is they better keep the way he talks the same.
Wonka: fairly ambiguous line
Guest: questioning of line
Wonka: Oh hey look over there, its a chocolate river
Even more so than with Pirates of the Carribean; that’s amazing.
Ehhh, I didn’t think Planet of the Apes sucked. It was just a nice little sci-fi-ish romp. It was so different from the original I would be hard pressed to compare the two anyway.
I’ll admit the trailer does not look promising, but I really don’t think it was meant to give away any good stuff. Look at the style of it, it’s just so goofy and stupid. Maybe Burton is even riding on the fact that everyone’s looking at it with disgust. I’ll bet you that the next trailer is going to be completely different, and let loose with the dark stuff that’s going to draw people into the movie.
