Personaly, I don’t think this movie needed to be remade. But we’ll just have to wait and see.
Tim Burton is a guy suited for darker movies. I don’t see how this can be good.

As much as I love Johnny Depp, I’m not too sure about the film. I’m not sure if he can fill the shoes of Gene Wilder.
I think Willy looks like Michael Jackson in some weird deformed way.
I was thinking that, but I love my Johnny too much to say it. 
This movie looks fucking creepy. Seriously.
And seeing Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka is just weird.
This movie really didn’t need to be remade. It’ll probably just end up besmirching another classic like Burton did with Planet of the Apes.
It looks really cool to me. Tim Burton didn’t care for the first movie because it didn’t follow the book closely enough. I think that he’ll do a good job with it. Think about it, the ONLY movie he made that sucked was Planet of the Apes. Not only that, but I love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, so I could care less whether or not it disappoints the whole world, I doubt it will disappoint me.
