I remember the Friday the 13th game on NES used to scare the crap out of me back in the day.
i would have to say Resident Evil 4 or Doom 3. those games were freaky. Doom 3 in a dark Basement and surround sound will scare the crap out of you like no other.
I am a HUGE Silent Hill fan, but Fatal Frame is far scarier than Silent Hill.
Doom 3 is one of the scariest games ever made!

Silent hill 4 was scary i remember playing it i seen a face on the wall it was creepy!
I don’t play too many horror games, but I remember System Shock 2 made me jump alot. It’s not really scary, but you get surprised alot.
The Game Over screen in Adventure of Link used to scare me as a kid.
The Dark Eye wasn’t really scary so much as it was creepy, but I’d still say that’s the closest I’ve come to being scared by a videogame, other than the terror from games when you’re about to die and the last save point was hours ago. Which is more frustration than terror.

I’ll have to say The Uninvited. NES games have this weird eerieness to them when they’re trying to freak me out.

Damn Im such a scaredy cat when it comes to anything scary,I mean literally.I even screamed on Halo and Area 51 for PS2 -_-’ but for the all time scare game I guess it would be Alone in the Dark 2.
Out of what I’ve played, I’d say it’s a draw between Fatal Frame and Silent Hill 2.
That one part in Fatal Frame where you hear a low pitched talking coming from the closet scared the crap out of me. O.O
