That is disgusting. That story was the most heartbreaking deaths I have ever watched on tv.
This is one more of those cases in which the bible leads to hatred against a minority. They even want a saying that goes in the book in this monument. How nice.
It gets worse. I think he may be able to build that monument to hatred due to freedom of speech and all that. I’m not against the freedom to express your ideas, but I think there should be something in the law that makes the use of this freedom to inspire hatred illegal.
edit: if he does get that thing built, people could just play his little game and kill him, then erect a monument to his death too. It’d keep things balanced.
The bible states tolerance to all, people who hate gays and fall back on that excuse are pathetic.

That part about Sodoma and Gomorra in Genesis is quite homossexual unfriendly you know. And in his letter to the Romans, the writter says quite clearly that the destiny to those who aren’t straight is hell. I fail to see tolerance in such texts.

Sure, there were gays that were killed, etc. in the bible, but I know MANY religious people who tolerate gays.

If god didn’t want people to have sex, he would have made it feel awful but yet be a necessity. Hypocrite.
Mr. Phelps is probably a lonely man that is envious of those who aren’t lonely. There are less homosexuals than hetrosexuals so he picked the smallest group, as there would be less people to toss rotten eggs at him.
Let us ridicule him, and build a monument celebrating that.

If that was directed at me (I am assuming it is since it came right after my post but I could be wrong), i never said I hate gays. In fact my roomates are a gay couple and they happen to be some of my best friends.
