But what do you expect from a cabinet that takes the corporate mentality to the military, and views soldiers just like any other set of employees, trying to get maximum production out of minimum staff, cutting supply and salary budgets and keeping the “savings” for themselves. There’s a reason so many military and ex-military people show Rumsfield no love.
This is not a matter of Bush being stupid, or not thinking. This is Bush doing what he’s been doing since day one. Tax breaks to the rich, peachy deals for Dick and his business buddies, and fuck everyone else.
Well the good news is that on January 20th, 05 Bush will most likely be out of a job(if the opinion polls of him keep going the way they are going), bad news is thats January 20, 05.

Despite that money being needed for those who suffered defending you? Great troop support right there. You seem to follow the saying of “Semper I, fuck the other guy” (semper = always). You can waste it on 2 video games while you are taking food away from squad in Iraq as they go from 2 MREs a day down to 1 since you got you $100. That $100 adds up across the country. That is the fundamental problem with Bush’s plan, he wants to do a lto of costly things while giving away tax money needed to fund those “projects”. When I go to Iraq in about a year (Marines are going back to relieve the Army and my unit will probably be tapped), I’ll be be happy to know that I’m hungry do that you could get $100. Enjoy!
No point in getting angry at sil since sil’s only saying that because it goes against what other people are saying (ie to be a dick since going against the flow for the simple of reason of going against it without any defined ideology is simply to pester).

It never ceases to astonish me when people are astonished because Bush has done yet another of the astonishing contradictory things he’s been doing since day one. Astonishing.

On another subject, a quick question about that Democratic candidate debate a week or so ago. Two or three (the question didn’t reach all of them) admitted to smoking marijuana. Is the lack of criticism so far (like Clinton got for the lovely “but didn’t inhale” comment) simply because we haven’t reached the main race yet?

When in power, do the dirty, upsetting work first, so when elections come around, and you’ve been doing the good happy-smile things, people re-elect you.
Bush may be re-elected, one can only hope that he might learn something… or perhaps, we might learn of what he is doing.

Anyway, I’m not voting for either major political party for my first time voting. I hate what bush is doing, but the democrats probly wouldn’t have done things much differently. Lets face it, the two parties become more and more alike every year.
