Holy shit, it actually looks good. Ozymandias looks retarded but everything else is spot-on.

Saying anything more than ‘YES’ is entirely unnecessary.
I dunno, he kinda looked retarded in the original.
But yeah. Everything’s spot on-awesome here.
He looked retarded in the comics too.
My God, it’s full of awesome
I’m stunned…my only beef so far is of course Ozymandias and Dr. Manhattan looking a little strange, but apart from that it looks incredible. Like what they did with Nite Owl too.
I’ll give them this: If nothing else, they got the look of the thing right.
I’ve been told that Dr. Manattan’s film appearance may be what David Gibbons was actually trying to go for, but it’s hard to make people look radioactive and glowy in comics like that …
…now I’m picturing Dr. Manhattan saying “Now I’m radioactive! That can’t be good!”
Dr. Manhattan doesn’t say “RIP AND TEAR” though. He points at you, and you explode.
I was salivating when I saw the trailer. They didn’t show Rorchach’s blotch mask so I hope they don’t make him like the Question.
You can see the blotch when he does the hairspray/lighter improvisation.
You are aware that Rorschach IS based on The Question, right? In fact, WATCHMEN came about because DC Comics had just bought the entire stable of Quality Comics’ characters but had yet to use them; Alan Moore wanted to use them to tell his hero-deconstruction story, but was told DC had other plans for them. So he simply reinvented them as new characters. Every Watchmen character is based on a Quality character. (Dr. Manhattan = Captain Atom, Nite Owl = Blue Beetle, The Comedian = The Jester, Ozymandias = Thunderbolt, etc.)
Yes, I remember you mentioned it a long time ago in the comic books thread, I believe. I like the Rorschach character more because for some reason Rorschach seems more fleshed out than The Question.
Also Rorsach breaks people’s fingers.
