A sword, though impractical, isnt illegal to carry in some states, wheras a pistol is. It cost me 25 dollars to get mine. And then i have to be careful, some cops like to treat people who carry like shit and hope they give them a reason to smash em up and cart them off to jail. Just some though, i know some pretty cool cops. Wheras, i cold have taken that 25 bucks and bought a sword.
I also like practicing with a sword because there is a bit of an artform, a magic, to it. I am most at peace when i am practicing techniques and styles, i can practice for hours and hours non-stop. Also, when(if) TSHTF(the shit hits the fan) swords and bows will be useful once again because what are you gonna have when the ammo’s all shot up ? I’m talking the Dark ages all over again, sounds appealing, somewhat.

Yes, making it so big it would be unwieldable would be great.
These things are decorative, it’s not like anyone would be carrying a sword like this (Or any sword for that matter) around. Which makes me wonder why didn’t they make the swords with a correct design.
More thn likely because they are lazy bastards that can’t be bothered to anything properly.
