*WAK!* I've caught Nostalgia Fever!

For my birthday, my dad bought me a copy ofthis old board game, “The Omega Virus”, off Amazon. I used to have that game many, MANY years ago. I remember playing it years ago…sigh The fun I used ti have. And now I’m having all that fun again.

I just had to tell people.

What was it about?

Four “commandos” are trying to gain control of a space station that has been taken over by a lethal computer virus. It’s accualy very cool…you travel between “rooms”, and each room has a number. You punch the numberinto an electronic thing the game comes with, and it tells you what’s in the room. You might collect keycards, to enter more rooms, or items you need to kill the viirus. The game keeps track within itself of the items youhave collected, and the rooms you have aready visited.

Oh, I had that game! That is until I put it in the attic and it got really hot, having the batteries leak and ruin it. It was a pain in the butt to find that thing. It had such an annoying voice too! I just liked attacking people for the fun of it when two commandoes were in the same room.

I attacked people a lot. My friends wern’t to happy about that. :o
They should never have retired that game, it was awesome.
For some reason, the Virus reminds me of Sinistar, the way he belts out the same lines over and over and over…

That game rocked, we always played on hard because we thought it was too easy. About then we learned we weren’t supposed to be on a team and could attack each other. I don’t think we ever beat it after that.

Sometimes me and my friends play co-op…when we DO play un-friendly, its always on the easiest setting, so we have more time to waste screwing eachother up. :o

I’ve played that before with my friends, and like CH, we always played on hard. It’s really fun, though. Congrats on getting it again, GG.

I remember playing that game, though. It was fun. Dunno where it is now, though. :frowning:

Neat.
I wish they would have released games like that in Norway; but no, we were stuck with ‘Ladders’, ‘Ludo’, and so on: Bah!

Dood, I remember that game! Not personally…

But I remember when I suscribed to Disney Adventures (I still got about 5 years worth locked up in a shoebox from when Jurassic Park 1 came out to Jurassic Park 2 to be exact) I saw it in an advertisment and said “ooh i want dis for chrimas!”

But I never did get it…

and GG! Congrats to you on finding the game again. I’ve had mine for years and you’ve just bludgeoned me with nostalgia to the point of where I want to pull that thing out and play it again. You rock
