Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the SaGa series. It always felt way too random and unpolished. Unlimited: SaGa sounds like it exemplorifies (sp?) this.
I don’t like non-linear games because, IMHO, linearity makes for good storylines, and non-linearity doesn’t. That’s my opinion, though, so nobody embarass me by listing off non-linear games with exemplary storylines
Well, I AM a fan of the SaGa games, and of nonlinearity in a game… but I must admit, the things I’ve heard about Unl. SAGa (such as the fact you CANNOT explore towns, just check out shops and so, thru menus, ala certain tactical RPGs) have me worried. I’ll wait until I find out much more about the game (especially the storylines) before I check it out…
It’s not released yet, that’s what I think about it.
I dunno, I’ll probly try it and enjoy it, because SaGa’s forte is being totally experimental and original, rather than trying something that they know for sure works. There are a few things that always remain the same, but in pretty much every game, the way that one advances through it is completely different. So if you’re looking for something totally weird and new and off the hook, try it out. SaGa games are definitely not for everyone, though.
I’m really excited for this game. I’m a big fan of the SaGa games, and non-linearity in games. From what I’ve heard, I think the story will be good, from what I’ve read about it. I’m also digging the new combat system with reels, and the possible combos with going or waiting, and what you get on the reels. The only thing stopping me is cost ($70 CDN).
It’s tiring, a very tiring game…
Well, the soundtrack for US is much better than the one for SF2, so I’ll probably buy it for that merit alone.
Heh, but not really, though. I also like the SaGa series, so I think I’ll take a chance with this one.
