I gotta wonder though, why they continue to use ‘BOMB!’ instead of ‘BOOM!’ in cartoon explosions, I mean, just look at Doki Doki Panic (aka, Super Mario Bros 2)

Why is ‘boom’ better than ‘bomb’ anyways? IRL explosions don’t really sound like boom, but rather like something that cannot be pronnounced.
