What a great movie. Oddly suspenseful for being The Polar Express, and far, far too easy to mock (and one hell of an annoying kid in a yellow shirt and glassess), but a great movie nontheless. I actually clapped.
once again , still think its childish, but hey,( like once again) I might be wrong =)
(see the “incredibles” thread if what im saying doesnt make sense)
I’m hoping to see it soon. Maybe over Thanksgiving Break. I’ve gone on before about my school’s yearly Christmas thingy with the highlight always being Father Jim reading and having people act out the book. And that magical bell… Ah…
Evile! Now there’s 3 movies I need to see! Spongbob, The Incredibles, AND The Polar Express…-_-
Sorc, is it a child movie? What is it even about? I saw a preview for it yesterday and all I saw was people dancing around. o.x;
I was really put off by the stiff looking animation, but I’ll still see it.
I LOVED the book when I was a kid… the movie isn’t quite as poignant as the book (it’s kinda cheesy, actually ;p), but I still enjoyed it… Go to a matinee or get the student discount though.
What’s it about? It’s The Polar Express man; you can’t tell me you’ve never read the book…
Oh, and I’m seeing spongebob today.
I’m excited to see “A series of unfortunate events”
I’d never even heard of those books. So I can care less.
Edit- NM, I just read above…
I never read the book. >.>;
Ditto, but I HAVE heard of a series of unfortunate events… and lemony snikket (sp?)
Plus… it has Jim Carrey in it… That alone makes me want to see it.
I’m seeing Spongebob next weekend!
Whhoooo! I just came back from finally seeing The Incredibles!
And, I want to the the Lemony Snicket movie A LOOOOOT. I’ve read, and own ever book.
He’s talking about The Polar Express.
Dude, you need to go buy the book. It should cost like $2 or something. It’s a thin little book, but it’s just so…awesome. It’s a kids book. Man, seriously. Go to school and tell someone to bring it to you. Honestly, it’s most definitly worth reading and seeing the movie.
It’s a book? I think I actually have it, unless my brother ripped it up like he did with half of my other books. I heard it was good, but I’ll probably not see it until it comes out on tv.
Sweet god, of course it’s a book. It’s a brilliant book.
And Sponge Bob sucked. Wow what a shitty movie.
You people that have never read the book need to go back and find yourselves a childhood.
Excuse me? There were plenty of classic children’s books that were not available around where I grew up (like most of Doctor Seuss’s- I guess they were too hard to translate.) On the other hand I probably saw several Spanish ones you people didn’t. (Was Polar Express even around when I was a child, in the 70’s?)
That’s different, Wilf. You’re much older than the rest of us. Those of us that did have childhoods after it was published ('85 I think) are the ones that I was directing that comment at.
