I found this while surfing the Net for info on the old Superman comics.
I had just mentioned (in d’s thread in the Main Board) that even with Superman you can make good stories.
Besides, I think it’s a pretty clever fanfic that shatters the “fourth wall”… or does it? : )

Personally, I think issue 36 of Spiderman, the one where Spidey is at ground zero, is one of the most moving pieces of literature I’ve ever read. Really great.

…Which was a bit overdone with a crying Dr. Doom. Then again, that’s just me.
The ironic thing is, while Marvel comics was able to put out comics in which they referenced 9/11, DC comics wasn’t. Why? Because shortly before, DC had decided to break continuity with reality- first by having Lex Luthor be elected President of the USA rather than Bush Jr. (!!) and then by having the Earth devastated by an Alien attack- whole cities were razed.
