Do you play it? I do, and some of the puzzles are fucking hard
Hey I remember this thread, only it had a link to some online version of it.
I hate it
Yes I play it. I got a book full of them for christmas.
I play it and yeah some are obscenely hard. Its only a matter of time and technique though for the really hard ones. Once you figure out how to do it, its just a matter of looking at possibilities.
My sister plays that gameā¦ she tried to explain it to me as I thought it looked interesting. But then sheās like āthereās some math involvedā and I was all āMan, Iām retarded. Donāt go waving your mathematical abilities at me.ā then I ran away.
I loved those puzzles for the longest time, and wished that I could find more of them. I jsut wonder why it had to go through Japan before it became popular over ehre again.
Thereās actually no math involved at all. The numbers could just as easily be replaced by fruit and the same rules would apply.
I started getting into it, but got sick of it pretty quickly.
Hey, I wanna feel smrt
I didnāt like it, it involved too much thinking.
Itās not too much thinking beyond completing a square, just a lot of elimination and double checking.
No, not really. It got boring.
One of my teachers is a Sudoku nut, and he showed the class how to do them one day. Pretty fun, but I like Magic Squares more.
I donāt like Sudoku. Itās pointless.
At least crossword puzzles increase your vocabulary.
I havenāt played it much. I have helped friends/family do some of the puzzles, but never done one myself. Iāve always been a fan of logic puzzles, and I think sudoku uses the same thought patterns that those use. Look for the part you know the most about and try to eliminate the parts within that that you donāt know about based on the connected information. At least with normal logic puzzles you get the often witty stories that keep things interesting. I think I could get into sudoku if they put it in a daily newspaper so I can do it while I do the jumble. They are starting to do that with some papers.
I play it.
I also get paid to play it.
But then I get paid to play alot of things.
Youāre some kind of a game tester? Are you serious?
I used to play it at work, so I got paid for it. Now my job isnāt as lenient.
I keep a book of Sudoku puzzles next to my recliner in my living room, in case thereās a slow episode of Law & Order on and nothing interesting is online.
Itās kinda boring. It was fun the first few times. But then some newspapers started including them. So now theyāre not fun.
I play it occassionally at work as well. However, I usually donāt have time to complete a puzzle before another patient comes in, so I have to quit early. It does get boring for me after awhile though. I found it on Gamehouse, and was surprised when I actually looked at the puzzle section of my local newspaper to find it there as well.
