Stuck in a rut.

How can you tell? You don’t know till you ask.

you never know until you try  .Unless you are absolutley certain, like if she already gave you hints pointing to the other way.If so, just find an extreme hobby, like sky diving or your own stunts with friends.

No. I haven’t gotten any signals that she isn’t interested. I know those when I see them.

I’m just a pessimist.

I am going to try, don’t get me wrong. But she’s going to use the friends excuse. I know it. “I don’t want to lose you as a friend.” Those are the exact words she’ll use.

I just have to get the timing just right and maybe I’ll catch her in a moment of weakness. Lol.

And I have tried in the past. One night I thought I was golden. This one Friday, a bunch of my coworkers (including Jess) and I were out drinking. After many a drink, she invited everyone back to her place to keep the party going. Only a few people went. One by one they left until it was just me and her. We were talking and I was literally just about to make a move and the doorbell rang. It was like it was straight out of a movie. The timing was flawless. It was one of her friends that she hadn’t talked to in a long time. So they stayed up girltalking and I ended up crashing on her couch. That sucked ass.

Damn dude, that is harsh :stuck_out_tongue:

You shouldn’t be pessimistic, be realistic.

Same thing.

Not really. A pessimist just thinks everything will go wrong all the time. A realist realizes that things will go wrong some of the time, or most of the time, but it won’t be like that all the time. I would know, that’s how I usually am.

Sounds liek my dad…

Dad: Wake up, go to work, come home, eat, watch tv, play vidoegames, go to bed.

>.>

Seriously though… set some weekly goals to do after work… or daily goals. Like one week, after work instead of watching tv sity down and work on a model plane or something… next week, start a garden in your front yard or backyard. Just do something different every other day after work…

?

Even if she’s going to say no, then at least you know for sure. It’s best to just say it. If she says no, well, no harm done, a little hurt pride perhaps, but nothing you can’t get over.

And if she says yes, well then you’re set.

But the worst thing you can do is nothing. Don’t just sit around saying “Oh, she’ll probably say no, I’d better not ask.” Why? Well, what if she would have said yes, but you were too scared to ask, and then she went and found some other guy? You’d kick yourself.

So go ahead and ask her out. The worst that can happen is that she says no, and from the sound of it, you’re only losing sleep for yourself by not trying.

A lot of the time if a girl says that to you, it makes her actually concider dating you after the statement was made. Well, that’s from my experience. It’s always worth a shot. I mean, you never know.

The way Setz does it is so much more annoying. I.E. “OMG my sister is a n00b because she cutz herself lolz”

More like <img src = “http://theepok.free.fr/IMG/ff8/images/shiva.jpg”>!

And people say video games today aren’t focused solely on sex appeal… :no2:

Jenna, that’s NG :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, Setz thinks cutting is the cool thing to do.

I know what you mean. I write sometimes too. Sometimes. Except for one thing. I spent A YEAR AND A HALF at home stuck in a rut. And I’M FOURTEEN! AND, I NOW KNOW HOW TO RAISE CHILDREN AND TAKE CARE OF A HOUSEHOLD! AT FOURTEEN!

Gasp.

I think I won this one.

I love Pierson and Cless. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sure you do -_-;;

I’m a terrible DJ and I still land gigs and play friends’ parties and whatnot. I’m a recent college grad with a somewhat crappy job (but it looks fantastic on my resume), and for about the last year I’ve been using my DJing to both entertain me and pick up a few extra bucks. You’d be surprised how easy it is to start landing gigs, esp if you know what you’re doing (and you play the right music). You just have to be willing to play anything, market yourself, hand out CDs, set up a little website, keep in contact with people…and eventually you’ll start getting more regular stuff. It’s a rewarding hobby, I think.

Edit: I forgot, one of the most important steps is to create an actual mix CD/demo to hand out at parties and whatnot. If any of your friends do graphic design or whatever, have them make you a quick cover design so it looks kind of cool. Pick up some CD labels, and wah-lah. Make sure to include your information somewhere in there…like email and website and whatnot.
