Silly horror movie question

Since I wasn’t sure where else to go.

Now, as some of you probably know by now I’m a giant fan of George Romero and Dawn of the Dead, so I ask you this: If the world were suddenly overrun by zombies ala Dawn of the Dead, where would you go or what would you do? Is there any kind of plaza or town center where you live that could be safe from ravaging zombies?

As for me, I’d first try my police station, and failing that I’d hole up in my good ol’ Norwalk CompUSA Plaza. It has a huge food market, a CompUSA (computer store), a Barnes N Noble, and whaddaya know, it even has a Gamestop. :smiley:

How fitting i just started the game like few days ago.
A zombie just bit me, mofo! I don’t want to turn into a zombie.

Think I would take refuge at the high school which is maybe 2 to 3 miles away, though i’m thinking we still can drive cars and uh the road is clear. If not I suppose we would have to stick it out at home. No guns at the house though. And we have windows and a sliding glass door. The basement has those small little windows. ;_; freaks out Damnit we’d die. I wonder if pepper spray would effect them?

Though we have a nice coffee table we could prop up against the front door. The window need to be locked properly. Well there also is a small firestation a little bit further then the high school. There’s a small mall half hour to 45 minutes away that is by driving.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again.

Everyone who is a zombie fan, read The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection Against the Living Dead by Max Brooks. It is a hilarious but deadpan survival guide that tells you how to live through an undead outbreak.

With that said, I would try to make it to my city’s old armory. It is basically a fortress in the middle of a city. It would be simple to defend as long as it is well stocked with supplies.

Well, since there’s no bigass military base in town, then it’s Bass Pro Shops. They have 3 floors of hunting and camping crap, clothes, non-perishable foodstuffs, two restaurants, and a basement.

Just level 2 i wanted to get free running first though ;_; but I needed to barricade this one place i’m in right now since i was just with newbies like myself. Still alive now woo. What is your profile? or more then one?

You know if the game was vampires and humans, i’d just be begging to be biten. Zombies are just creepy.

I’m not telling you which suburb i’m in, don’t want your zombie characters to get me. Besides i have construction haha >_>; hides I was dropped in shore hills though, lots of zombies eek

Did you know that 2 of my characters were involved in the zombie assualt on Fort Creedy, and operation Windmill Scrotum Contreversy(hee).Plus one of my characters is a member of the DUFP(Democratic Union For Peace).

Ah nice, checked on their wiki for the articles. Not sure I’ll join any sort of group. Just any group that can help a lowly newbie scientist like me would be nice. >_>

How about…ah I cant think…well DUFP and… the one for you I would say isYagoton Revivirication Clinic, besides that you might get bored so leave every once and a while from the groups to go on sub- quests or goals.Then return to thier current base. I would not do the Yagaton thing so early on because that would limit a low level char. to one suburb, and then you do not get the real flavor of the city.

I would not hide. I’d find a sword (I have like 5 in my attic) and I’d go outside, and start killing shit left and right. Army Surplus store is like 50 minute walk, I’d probably go there. And from there, I’d go to my school which is like 10 minute walk. Hide in either Gymnasium, chemistry room, or fitness room (with weights and treadmills and shit). The door has like 6 locks on it, a phone, and a radio. Sometimes I think the room is there in case something of this calibur were to happen.

So, in short:

  1. Leave house, bring sword.
  2. Kill some zombies on way to Army Surplus Store.
  3. Get a backpack with 2 uzi’s, 1 sniper rifle, 4 pistols, and 1 shotgun. Plenty of ammunition.
  4. Go to school.
  5. Since hallways are fucking long, I can pick off zombies with rifle; and I think there’s an emergency shutter thing.
  6. Kill zombies in school, lock doors. Go to chemistry room, make shit like explosives (haha), or other fatal junk.
  7. Plant traps in school (bear traps lol), or start a fire.
  8. Hide in fitness room until nighttime.
  9. Go to roof, make some kind of signal (smoke, fire, etc).
  10. Rescued.

what if rescue does not come? do you have a plan for barricadeing? what if the stores have already been looted? That is why I did not post my plan because it has too many contingancies.

The school has a huge cafeteria servery, and 2 other kitchens; not including the staff kitchen. There’s also a cooking class (I think). Hence there being a lot of materials. And that shutter thing, I can just lock down the school, live until rescue; or live there forever.
