How do I pick up items? The shrine doesn’t say how specifically, I’m trying to pick up the fruit knife but all I get is “Can’t exchange”.
I think I know what your problem is. The middle two slots in a character’s inventory can only hold regular items, and the bottom slots can only hold weapons. So, just face the item, and go to “Item” on the menu. Then select one of the middle two slots if you’re picking up a regular item, or a bottom slot if you’re picking up a weapon. So, since you’re trying to get the fruit knife, be sure to select a bottom slot.
I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear on that in the shrine.
