RPGC Games-What happened to Warcraft II?

What happened to Warcraft II!? Everyone playing III? No one has time for classics anymore?
Seriously, does anyone actually play it anymore? Back then, it was the most awesome game ever; I have to say, it’s one of my favourite games of all time. I haven’t even PLAYED III yet and my computer can’t play most games unless they’re running off another machine, and that doesn’t even make sense.

Does ANYONE play Warcraft II? If so, I think there should be a Warcraft II section. C’mon, people. Bring back the classics.

On a side note, we should probably get an RPGC games message board. If enough people cared, it’d clog up the other forums.

Heh. Perhaps. But since WC3 came out, most RPGCers play that.

If enough people still play WC2, then I’ll consider it.

That said, RPGC Games doesn’t need a separate board. PC games suits it just fine.

Which reminds me, I don’t think the “who plays what” section has been updated in awhile.

Between WC3, SC, and Gunbound, nobody really plays WC2 anymore (at least here).

Damn, NONE of those run on my computer. I don’t even HAVE Warcraft III or Starcraft (last I checked, gunbound was free, right?).

Well, I used to play it until 5th or 6th grade… That’s when I let my friend borrow it, and I only got my Beyond the Dark Portal disc back.
I still ahven’t forgiven him for losing my WCII disc… I realy loved that game. So I guess I’m not still playing it per se, but I would if I could.

Can’t run starcraft? That game was designed for pentium 1s! Are you sure on that?

I HAVE a Pentium 1 with low memory. I don’t even HAVE the game. The DEMO doesn’t even run.

Actually…

The problem is that it closes itself immediately after starting a game; not after starting the program, but the game itself. Any ideas?

Wow. CAnt’ help you…

Works on a P166 With reasonlly well, with Outlook 98 and MSN Running in the Back ground.

But then It had more Memory that Win 98 Knew what to do with.

Needed 640K Conventional was the only error messages, with Ulima 7 and Ultima Underworld (Shrine those as soon as I get them installed).

I need to get around about that.

I used to play WC2 on my old 486. It was like the only game that could run on it.

Dude… You could probably even get like… A pentium 2 for some lint and paper clips in your pocket. O_o Then you’d be able to play SC at least

Cool thing; in a sick, twisted turn of fate, I’m getting a new computer. It might be a while, though, so I’m asking for large donations of paper clips and lint.

Starcraft comes with Battle.net, right?

yeah. All Blizzard games do. Here’s a sidenote: I got Starcraft and Broodwars free when I bought Warcraft 3 Battlechest. I didn’t even know there was a giveaway going on. This was around Christmas too, so don’t go into EB games and expect a free Starcraft.

New computer!

Now all I need is the Starcraft to go with it.

People here play gunbound? Coolies, I do too!

Who said, “I didn’t see this comming!”? I thought Battle.net was a site where Blizzard gamers talked about Urination skills, sexual orintaion of Ultradisks, and “That one F*** huge Fleet!”

According to the box, WC2bne and SC have the same requirements. If you’re still playing the original WC2 and not bne, then I’m not sure how you’re even playing online; the only online service I knew of for WC2 back in the day was heat.net, who I don’t even think is around anymore.

Well When Starcraft came out and then Warcraft III I pretty much abandoned it.
As for Gunbound someone managed to hack my account so I pretty much lost faith in it.
