Romance Of The Three Kindoms

There is a series of books known as the Romance Of The Three Kingdoms. These books recall the state of war in china from abuot 165 BC - 221 AD, and are also the basis for the Dynasty Warriors game series. I would recomend both the books and the games to anyone. And if you are interested you can download the ebook here:clicka

I also believe it had a game for the SNES. I know I’ve played the ROM.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms game series is up to 8 and its now on the PS2.

Yea, but I only remembered Dynasty Warriors  However Dynasty Warriors is a very memorable series I must admit.

Maybe i’ll get them from my library…

I’ve been trying to order the books for ages.

And yes, KOEI mostly does historical reference games, Dynasty Warriors, Nobunaga’s Ambition, Uncharted Waters (okay, that wasn’t a REAL story, but you get the point), ROTK…and the list goes on.

Well, Iga you can dl the books and if you like them order them. Or just keep the free version.

Riiiiiiight…and I’m going to start carrying my computer around just to read the fucking book.

No way.

That’s a point, but you could read at home as well.

I prefer to have books than downloading them. That way I spend less time in front of the comptuer.

In addition to the following, if I didn’t read The Art of War in download format, I won’t read ROTK in download format.

Ahh.

Where can you find The Art of War in downloadable format?

Koei’s always made historical simulations. My favorites were <A HREF=“http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=910227” TARGET="_TOP">Genghis Khan</A>, <A HREF=“http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=910374” TARGET="_TOP">Nobunaga’s Ambition</A>, and <A HREF=“http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=910446” TARGET="_TOP">Romance of the Three Kingdoms</A> for NES. I’ve played some of them since then, but I thought the originals were the best. I’ll probably still buy <A HREF=“http://ebgames.com/ebx/product/234989.asp” TARGET="_TOP">Romance 8</A> when it comes out in two weeks.

Oh, and Dynasty Warriors is one series of Koei’s that deserves particular note for a few of reasons. First, it’s the most popular internationally. Second, it’s the first Koei title to be published on a non-Japanese made platform (Xbox). Third, it was one of the few series that they didn’t intend to ever be historically accurate (which is obvious if you’ve played the first Dynasty Warriors, which was a 3-D Fighting game).

There are lots of games based on The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. By the way, I’ve found a site that has a complete translation online. Be warned: it’s 120 chapters long and hard copies usually come in multiple volumes.
