Riddles game

An alarm clock, because it only speaks once a day.

A really thirsty horse is tied by a rope to a stone firmly attached to the ground. The rope is five meters long and there are nine meters between the stone and the only source of water available (A pond, a bucket, it doesn’t matter). The horse, who is abandoned in a deserted area, can not break free from his restraint, so what does he do?

Xelo: Right answer, wrong explanation. (or at least, I’ve never heard that version.)

The one I know is:

A clock is shy, because it’s always covering its face with its hands. :stuck_out_tongue:

Proceed with Seraph’s riddle.

Pull the stone?

.

The usual answer is that rope isn’t tied to anything but the horse… But this one seems different from the wording so not sure if that’s right.

If it is:
The one who makes it sells it.
The one who buys it doesn’t use it.
The one who’s using it doesn’t know he’s using it.
What is it ?

Sonoko: Wrong. And in answer to yours, it’s a coffin.

Yes coffin is right.

Another guess, the rope is tied to the horses back leg, so it can still reach the water.

And another riddle from me,
(my) Hair is white when young, (it) turns black when old.

Odd… This page loads incorrectly with firefox, you made a quick reply to jo the mighty and all other posts after that aren’t showing up.

YOUR HTML BROKE MY FORUM. NOW I’LL BREAK YOUR FACE!

Also, the horse would just chew through the rope.

If you don’t know HTML, don’t use it on the forums! I’ll break your face if you break the code again!

Also, the horse would just chew through the rope.

MUAHAHAHA QUADRUPAL POST! MONSTER COMBO!!!

Hey, I’m sorry, I just noticed your post and my browser wasn’t giving any errors. BTW, no you are all wrong.

Then he’d die.

His owner would bring it to him?

You got it. The answer to the question “what does he do?” is exactly that: He dies.

If only you and DEAD people can read hexidecimal, how many people can read hex?

Everyone:

There are 9 meter sticks between the rock and the water. Not necessarily a distance of five meters. Or the horse just drops dead.

Oh man, I hoped the answer would be better than that. ~_^

OK, here’s an EASY one:

You have three things you want to carry to the other side of a river: A lion, a goat, and a stack of hay. Obviously, the lion wants to eat the goat, and the goat wants to eat the hay. However, they won’t do so as long as you’re next to them, you badass you.

Problem is, you have a boat with room only for ONE of these, plus yourself. Which means you must leave two of them alone while you carry one of them to the other side. How do you transport all three to the other side of the river safely?
