I’m not much of an importer, but this may get me to start looking into that market more. I imagine some mainstream retailers might start selling imports now, which could drive down costs. Then again, the GB series has been region free forever, yet not many people I know import the games.
Oh well, it’s probably going to be a huge plus for the Euros.

Though I live in the cesspool between canada and mexico, I am certainly excited about this announcement, since it means that titles like Namco X Capcomwill still be playable without a mod chip, though, I got one a while back for the uber stinky sequel to Intelligent Cube.
It’d be really funny if it still utilized the region coding for PS1 and PS2 games, and not on PS3 games. That’d be really funny.
I’ve wondered that too. It would be really really great if you can play ps1 and ps2 imports on the ps3.
Even if it won’t play import PS1/PS2 games, the Revolution probably will.
