This made even less sense than Salad FingersâŚ
âRed Roomâ though⌠possible somewhat like Redrum?

Red room⌠red room⌠over thereâŚ
From Wikipedia:
Not a prank as such (there is no âshockâ, it is simply a horror story), Red Room is a flash video, entirely in Japanese, about an urban legend called âthe Red Roomâ. The protagonist in the video searches on the internet for proof of its existence, only for the results to go horribly awry.
Summary
Two friends discuss a rumour about an Internet pop-up ad that asks âDo you like it?â. If you dare to close the pop-up, you die. The more sceptical friend does some investigation. At home, he looks it up on the web, but nothing happens, and he goes on to visit his own favorite sites⌠Suddenly, out of the blue, the message pops up. He tries to call his friend, but there is no answerâŚ
After he clicks to close it the first few times, it keeps re-appearing. It then starts automatically reloading. Each time, a new part of the message is revealed, finally displaying âDo you like the red room?â. Then a website with all the names of the people killed shows up, with his friendâs name, and his own, at the bottom. A low voice begins speaking directly behind him, and he is killed.
odd. looked like it might have been interesting had I some clue as to what it was saying. the popup at the end was a nice touch though.
Does anyone have the link to the window that popped up? My pop-up blocker caught it, and Iâm not particularly in the mood right now to sit through it again⌠>_>
It just pops up the red window with the japanese text found in the flash. It doesnât have any form of maliciousness to keep it up though.
God I love Firefox. Musta saved my life a few times from this. I love built-in pop-up blockers.
Disable popup-blockers thenâŚRepeatedly clicking on stuff I canât read is a littleâŚboring, btw.
Nice and slightly creepy, i liked the music in the flash too.
All this talk about red rooms and death reminds me of a short story I read in elementary school. It was set during the time of the Plague. This aristocrat thought he could beat the Black Death by locking it outside his gates.
He had special gates made of the strongest metal and had it installed so precisely there wasnât enough space for a hair when they were closed.
That night he had a costume party in celebration and invited all his rich friends. Some poor peopletried to sneak in of course and they were thrown out by the guards.
In the ballroom he was chatting up some of his friends when he noticed a figure staring at him. The figure was dressed in a black robe and wore a black mask. He didnât recognize whoever it was and thought some pauper must have gotten past the guards.
Angry, he went after the figure, who had dissappeared into the crowd.
Asking his guessts, he surmised that the figure had left the ballroom and was hiding in one of the many rooms in his house.
Seeking revenge for what he thought to be a personal affront, he draws his dagger and stalks his uninvited guest.
Moving through his many themed rooms, he passes through the Blue Room, the Green Room, the Purple Room, the Yellow Room , the Red Room, seeing no sign of the intruder until he finally reaches the door of the last room. The Black Room, from which there was no exit other than the one he was facing.
He opens the door and steps in. By the light of the moon through the window he makes out the outline of the black robe.
He takes two steps toward the figure, raises his arm in preperation to sink the dagger in, but instead drops dead at the feet of the figure.
Morning comes and the aristocratâs guests are still in the ballroom. All dead.
This is brilliant. We should use it by trying to fool some politicians into thinking it tells a real and true story so that they outlaw pop-ups and pop-downs and those wretched float-ads too!
Edgar Allan Poe if Iâm correct. âThe Mask Of Deathâ or something along those lines.
Lexâs story is some alternate reality version of âMasque of the Red Deathâ. Some of the details are actually a bit different than what he said.
Dude, sweet, it had part of Sephirothâs theme! Sort of.
Outlaw it? How unexpectedly naive of you, Nul.
Theyâd want to weaponize this shit. âThink of the Military Applications!!!â theyâd say to themselves, giggling and hopping around in their chairs like a kid with a new toy.
Beautiful Edgar Allen Poe⌠itâs from a short story called âThe Masque of the Red Deathâ. ^^ My favorite.
And this was almost creepy. O.o
If only it were to pop up over, and over, and over⌠- and then make a really loud bang!
That could be some fun.

Thatâs the smartest thing Iâve heard all day actualy.
Letâs do it
