Does anyone still play? I’m trying to get back into it.
I’m not one for MMOs, but I always said that if I played one, I would play PSO Blue Burst, since I have loved PS 1-4. I never did get into the online version for DC or Xbox. I think the online fee for BB is 8.95 a month, and it’s free to download. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I wish it had an offline mode. Yes, I know, that’d miss the point of the “online” part, but the console versions had one, and omitting that from the PC version makes me feel meh.
Yeah, it’s $8.99/mo. It’s not an MMO, though, it’s simply an online game, much like Mario Kart, Socom, or Halo.
I’m actually waiting for Phantasy Star Universe to come out, myself, it looks great so far. I’ll probably play that online a good deal.
Which doesn’t help. I mean, yeah, I can understand MxO, or Ragnarok Online, but PSO requiring a monthly fee for just being a game that will nominally be only on my computer like Counter-Strike makes me want to switch the S and the O.
I’m kinda upset that it’s pay-to-play, myself. There are some of us who played it back in the Dreamcast days for free, and they still expect us to pay monthly. Just seems kind of ridiculous. I understand that they have to charge since there aren’t many players and they have to pay for the servers.
I just started playing it a little while ago. If you ever wanna find me, look for a char named Broccoli. :3 He’s the only one I’ve made so far.
I’d have liked to have progressed a little further on the Episode 4 storyline, but I quit after Mission 3 in the Wilds. Having ripped the soundtrack (I really like the Wilds tracks, remixes of PS3 music, and the Desert and final boss theme), I’m not altogether that interested in it anymore, and dropped it for a Guild Wars placeholder. I’m really just holding out for Phantasy Star Universe. It was nice, though, to have played a version of PSO that wasn’t hacked to high hell.
Seconded.
