Wow indeed that game looks awesome! that game alone is enough reason to get a 360… or whatever system it comes out on.
Spiffy. An entire game based on Half Life 2- like puzzles.
Well this is pretty godamn innovative.
Last time it was the doom 3 engine being used to copy something of valve’s and failing; however, it’s valve copying Prey’s portal engine and then making it better. Sweet I guess.
This isn’t the Prey engine is it? I thought it was just Source with some extra shiny bits to make the portal effects look like the ones in Prey?
Prey is built from the Doom 3 engine and Portal is the source engine… only it has some new ergonomics and shaders to make the game look smoother and more modern. And a note, in Prey you do not shoot portals from a gun… in Portal you do, but from the video you seem to be able to use the portal gun like the gravity gun as well. Apparently there also implementing the portal gun in episode 2 ^^
… Okay. I know I’ve said this before, but: IT MUST BE MINE!!!
… just as soon as I get Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and the various other Source games, a DS and various games for it, plus maybe someone buying CS:Condition Zero (cuz I’M sure as hell not paying for it)

I didn’t say it was the exact same engine, but the concept is extremely similar. Like I said, valve is making it better by incorporating the ability to make your own. Prey showed it was possible to do, Portal will show it’s possible to make it multiplayer, customized, and fun.
I also didn’t say it was on the Doom 3 engine. I know what I’m talking about dammit >=\

It looks like the portal gun is a gravity gun too…awesome! Though I hope the entire game isnt in such a derilect enviroment like they showed.
