I tried finding this in English, but I didn’t find it in the major news sites. So you get no link.
Lampoldshausen, Germany - Andreas Bartels, a priest (my sources don’t indicate his church) had a special idea for the current Bible Year commemorations. He got his believers together and gave them VHS tapes about the life of Jesus. He gave them a total of 300 tapes.
Everything looked fine, but when people got the tapes into their VCR’s and pressed play… The thing they saw is described in the bible as ‘fornication’.
Explanation: Mr. Bartels asked a tape about the life of Christ from a company, but the guy who got his request mistook the holy movie for a pornographic one (don’t ask me how!). Bartels didn’t check it before giving it to other people.
Bartels went to the press to apologize himself. He also said that he and his colleagues were checking the rest of the material to prevent that mistake from happening again.

This reminds me of the story of a scam that some porn company pulled once. Basically, the company advertised porn films for sale by mail order, but they were selling in a region where law prohibited sale of such tapes. People went ahead and mailed in checks for tapes, and since it was illegal for the company to distribute the tapes, they instead ended up sending back an explanation along with a refund check.
The scam, of course, was that only some of the customers were willing to present their banks with checks addressed by the “Anal Sex and Fetish Perversion Company”.

Just thinking about the scene and laughing like hell for it made my night
