Link would kick Megaman’s ass so hard his momma’d feel it. It’s just the way Link is. The best results I’ve ever heard from was the 8-bit theater’s Link vs. Wolverine fight…DAMN!
(Hate to sound like a broken record…but:)
Link would kick Duke Nuken’s lame ass, so hard that his mother AND the Doom guy would feel it.
Link’s biggest attribute is finding out weaknesses, and he’s arleady got a shield that deflects lasers. As for actual bullets…well, lasers are stronger than bullets.
Granted, all I can remember from Duke Nukem was when you go in front of the arcade game (also named Duke Nukem) and he’d say “I’ll play with myself later.”
Now, as for the Doom guy. I liked him, but he Link could take him.
There’s a difference between firepower and skill.
Fuck, Pookie, are you even thinking? Megaman would pwn the shit out of Link. Link is just an ordinary boy with a sword and shield. He can’t do anything against plasma beams. A shield wouldn’t do jack SHIT. Face it, against any kind of high-tech weaponry, Link is a little bitch.
Oh sucker takes off her gloves
First off, Link is far from ordinary, considering the stuff he’s pulled. But let’s be specific, shall we? Primarily concerning plasma vs. mirror shield…
Screw that, technology vs. magic, that’s what this comes down to. Link’s stuff is magical, all of it is. Magic overpowers technology (see case: robots vs. thunder). Never mind the fact that the mirror shield’s job is to reflect lasers, magic, fire, lightning, yadda yadda yadda. (see case: state of Indiana vs. Gannondorf)
A guy with a gun against a guy with a sword is going to be an easy match…but Link is far from just a guy with a sword.
Okay, I’m a nerd, but even this caliber of nerdiness is way too much for me to handle.
Then leave the room! For I have a low sense of reality and love a good argument!
Yeah, a great arguement based on opinion and video game fanboy-theory. How about no grasp on reality?
Link would waste any mechanical product of man. Link is magic and magic can overpower anything. Magic is Magic. Notice the Ultima magic… the ultimate spell. Magic owns… oh and so my statement is correct: basically.
Sorry, forgot this board was only about discussing scientific studies and world history, nothing fictional that may need interpertation.
And I pride myself on my sense of reality…I have yet to step on small animals and expect coins to come out…although…
There are two ways to approach this, one -
~Megaman would have to travel back in time (assuming that Hyrule is a place of medieval/past existance) to fight Link. OR Link would travel to the future where Megaman was and would then be in Megaman’s world.
~Or By the time Megaman would be created, the generation of Link that now exists would be using the same technology that Mega uses.
SO, given the two scenarios:
Megaman Vs Link In Past:
Link’s advantages - All of his weapons, access to temples and epona which he’s farmilliar with, the support of the people.
Megaman’s Advantages - Megabuster (A charged shot of plasma energy!)
Winner - Most likely, Link.
Link travels to the Future:
Link’s Advantage - Courage, Master Sword
Megaman’s Advantage - All of the previous robot masters to take powers from, Dr. Light, Rush.
Megaman’s Big Disadvantage - Bass
Megaman would be at the advantage here if it werent for Bass who’d no doubt interfere and try to proove his shitty self once again by “defeating” mega. Link would probably help defeat Bass seeing as how in the end, he and mega are the good guys and they do shit like that…
But without Bass, the winner would clearly be: Megaman
Other Scenarios:
Since we’ve got no idea what a “Futuristic” Link is like, we can only assume that he’d be badass… However, with nothing to gauge we’ll not be able to determine a winner.
So in the end, it’s all about advantages/disadvantages…
But in a bare bones fight in an empty room with nothing more than basic weapons:
Megaman - Megabuster
Link- Mastersword / Shield
Megaman has the advantage and would most likely win.
Gamefaqs Sucks d****
D****? O_o
I think it’s “dick”, he just put an extra *.
Before you speak again, lets make sure you arent retarded. Next, considering that you probably were on the gamefaqs forums with all those kids, I can see where you are coming from. But as far as gamefaqs itself with its plethora of knowledge that you can tap into for FREE, I’d dare say that you are a moron to insult gamefaqs.
So in retrospect, don’t make stupid posts like that. Oh, and watch this informative video:
or Dorks… -_-
I got banned from them Damn bastards, Time to invade!!!111 TO GAMESPOT!!!1 AWAYYYYYY!!!
OK OK OK Calm down Deep breath
Case: Link vs. Futuristically Equipped individual.
Game to test said Case: Smash Bros Melee
Link Vs Samus. (Hey, Samus and Megaman are pretty comparable, don’tcha think? Megaman’s pretty much the nearest thing to a human before the reploid games, and you don’t really hear/see Samus outta her suit, unless you play the Original Metroid/Die. And both goes thunk thunk thunk when they walk.)
Points:
Link’s shield can block a fully charged beam or even super missiles from Samus. Then again, it can’t block flames or the mouth of Samus’ gun. He hasn’t even worn noticeable armor, (Link to the Past can’t fool me with just ridiculous palette changes! The new game seems to have the old pointyears wearing some sorta mail under the tunic, though…) so hits that go through his shield will hurt.
Samus, in all of her omniprensentorium-alloyed armored glory, succumbs to ARROWS and BOOMERANGS. Well yeah, sure, Link’s sword is magical so bla, it can damage her or something, but wasn’t it made to defeat evil? Sure, cuccos and grass might not be considered evil, but still…
(Bored after reading stuff. Don’t bother shooting me, as it’s my opinion and it’s as good as yours.)
