Pirates of the Caribbean

Cliffhanger was an awful movie

I watched the movie a couple days ago with my mom. Ya I’m real grownup, but I don’t usually go to the movies. Anyway, I loved the movie. The graphics were great, the characters in character as far as I care.

It was an awesome movie, the only thing I didn’t like was the ending. The ending was basically, “Sorry we made this to long were going to make you wait and buy the 3rd movie.” I liked how the first one ended. Otherwise I loved the movie, and I’ll be looking foward to the 3rd.

As a writer I can assure you, “sorry” is not the thing people have in mind when they create cliffhangers. It’s something more like this: :mwahaha:

The wouldn’t kill off Davy Jones, because it spoils the plot thread of the East India Company having control of the Flying Dutchman for the third movie. Clearly that was a set-up for the third movie. They’ll explain Geoffrey Rush being freed through some kind of trick that we don’t know about yet.

I loved the first film, and I liked the second one. It wasn’t near as good as the first one, though. Why? The ending was too long. Every character had something that needed to be made into a cliffhanger, and it seemed like they spent half an hour on each of the sideplots. Jack Sparrow was overdone, as well. I like what they did with Will, though. Norrington wasn’t bad, either.

This is precisiouly what I thought myself. There is an early script somewhere on line where you can read about the third movie. One of the directors staff admitted that it was from an early dfaft, and yes, Davey was coming back. along with four other villians.

maybe because there is a thing called the IMDB forums if you want to talk about a specific movie

Any idea where I can find spoilers for the third movie, Ziggy?

You might try drew’s script o rama, though that site has problems, you could look it up at wikipedia pirates three, there might be a link there. That’s about it. I think they might have caught it before it got out of hand, so you’re bet is as good as mine.

Lucky I’ve never seen it.
