Hey, all you Japanese buffs out there! I’m trying to discover the Japanese word for “patronizing,” as in:

Teacher: Zoology … now that’s a big word, isn’t it?
Nine-year-old girl: No, actually, it isn’t. “Patronizing” is a big word. Compared to that, “Zoology” is really quite small.
The teacher narrowed his eyes. Children like this were trouble.
