Dai, Phelps showed good sportsmanship when he gave up his last spot on that medley or something he helped the US qualify for to some other guy that had thought he had raced his last race in this Olympics. That’s pretty good of the guy to give up his shot at the Olympic medal record so some other person could have another shot at glory. It’s no saving grace, but it’s still a nice little story showing some sportsmanship still.
Yeah, Phelps has been pretty good with sportsmanship.
Tonight was much better. Gymnasts didn’t seem to be bothered by their mistakes during the gala, and some, notably Italy, did some things you’d never see normally.
I also loved how everybody hugged and congratulated the Morrocan runner in the 1500m.
Yeah, but he gets a medal anyway because he swam in the qualifying round, he just didn’t get to stand on the platform.
