Old Man of the Mountain Collapses

This is something that probably only Americans will care about, if at all. Kinda sad to hear about it.

It is unfortunate that a monument has fallen but when I really think about it, your right, I really don’t care.

Ah, t’is a pity. I always visited it whenever I was visiting my aunt near there. Had some good memories there.

um i never heard of it.

I do live in america!

O_o Ave, I’ve heard of it and I live in Canada.

yeah i know… i’m bad

Don’t worry, I live in America and I just learned about it from this thread, too.

I don’t care.

EDIT: To me its just another bunch of rocks, really.

It’s sad to hear that happened. =/

If you look at it carefully, it kinds looks like an old crone, actually.

The after picture kinda looks like he’s looking up at the sky with his mouth open in awe or in pain…

It now looks like Richard Nixon yelling at someone.

And now what are they gonna do about the quarters? Redesign them or what? If so, this could be more important than it at first seems.

is assassinated by the symbolism

I find it kinda stupid that they’re restoring it. The beauty of stuff like this is that nature made it. Mankind can easily create stuff like that, so then it’s not special.

Not a big deal to me. Nature has made and destroyed many things.

I wonder if anything 'll ever happen to mt rushmore.

Time and erosion will get it some day, but it isn’t nearly as precarious as the pictures of the old man in the mountain.

I love the Old Man in the Mountain. That’s so sad. :frowning:

I wonder if people will take this as some sign of the appocalipes or something, with all the lunitic fringe groups out there…

The mountain was cool, to bad it like died. It had its reasons I guess.

:kissy:
